I really want Hawke's staff. (Put spoilers in the title because I didn't know if Hawke appearing is a spoiler or not).
Anyways, Hawke was a mage in my game, and he had a really awesome looking staff. Does anyone know if there's a way to get it?

you can make it. they have the top part of the staff and then you make the blade to put in the blade slot.
I can't remember if any of the other schematics give the same look. But the Keeper Staff (which is tier 1) is the same in appearance. then make Apostate Staff Blade (Tier 2) (I believe?)

EDIT: Okay, I went back and checked the staff and blade I mentioned. And got it wrong. Went and loaded in a character that actually has a lot of the staff schematics
The Staff that has the same model as Hawke's (I'm going to assume that The Parthalan Staff is the one you're talking about at least. The staff Hawke uses in the fight against the Arishok trailer for DA2) is 'Archmage Staff'(Tier 3)
And the Blade is 'The Acolyte Staff Blade'(Tier 1)
