Hello Bioware, I understand you want us( me ) to spend money on platinum for the DAMP store but, that's not going to happen till loot drops actually become somewhat worthwhile. As it is I can't even keep up in Perilous because my weapons DPS is so low it takes like 5 minutes to kill a basic enemy( I'm not joking). I save up 6-10,000 gold too buy some large chest and get nothing but, level 1-5 white items. I mean why would I waste actual money on platinum when I will get more crap gear Iol. I enjoyed DAMP at first but, I'm to the point where I just want to snap the hell out, I never had this problem with ME 3's multiplayer and even if you had horrible gear in ME 3 you could still make it work but, that isn't the case with DAMP where you have to stand toe to toe with the enemy and spend 5 minutes hacking on a single enemy with my under leveled weapons( I'm aware other people don't have this problem and I'm not speaking for you ).
they actually want you to improve a lot your prestige points so that something can actually come out at least good. its a tiring process... i dont agree with it either, since multiplayer is actually pretty bugged. but if you have found the patience, something near 120~160 prestige will actually start to drop some good items. Your call anyways.

I kinda liked the way ME3 MP was set up. You had certain weapons available, and would unlock versions until you hit V10. MP expansions brought more weapons and perks. Not sure if that would work here in DAMP.
I totally agree with the lousy loot. Is BW's RNG perhaps the Cryptarch's (ala Destiny) part time job, to come and troll the MP folks? ![]()
Yeah, BW, the loot sucks. Please improve. Many of us like the game, but honestly if you were the customer, how would you feel about what BW has created here?

From what I've read, and others have tested, there is no correlation between your Prestige lvl and your loot quality.

It seems then i believed in a myth my DA collegue told me, i was asking myself why i had 2 good daggers drops so low anyway. Guess its about time they improve this rates then, it surely sucks.

Stormheart, I've made many posts on this same topic in the hopes that it would get fixed ASAP, many of the posts near when the game was first released, because I knew that many people are and will continue to be trolled by the current loot system. Who knows, it may never get fixed. All I can say is that its quite saddening to see a loot system that causes frustration to a large percent to the population, and worst of all, the main victims are the casual population that can't farm the amount of gold necessary to open the many dozens or even few hundred large chests necessary to replace all their low level stuff.

Observation after 200+ hours of MP DAI play. (Paraphrasing/Estimating from memory, awesome = about the best I heard of in game unique item; I spend all gold on large chests at end of playing) I also average about 4 promotions per time section.
0-50 Hours; did not get crap; played mostly Routine
51-75 hours; got awesome One Handed Weapon, Shield and Dagger
76-99 hours; other than some decent rings and runes, no "awesome" weapons
100-150 hours; Got awesome belt and Staff
151-175 hours; Got another awesome dagger and shield, along with a dam good amulet and ring
176 - 200 hours, dry spell, nothing special, while playing mostly Threatening and Perilous
201 hours; After several days of gaming and buying God nows how many large chests full of crap, I had just enough for a medium chest; The first item in it was an awesome unique amulet.
After all these hours of play I have never got more than a decent Bow and my Two Handed Weapon sucks. My rings are mostly good, not great and none are awesome.
My conclusion (obviously based on my personal observation and interaction with several friends) There is NO rhyme or reason to drops, pure luck.

Sadly, all I have managed is a Rare Axe( Dwarven War Axe ) lvl 12 it's great on threatening but, on perilous it caps out at 75-100 dmg. As a result I struggle against even basic enemies like the wraiths and don't get me started on Pride Daemons lol, luckily I'm a good player and can generally keep my guard up and tank the enemies while my friends drop spells on them. Honestly I do enjoy playing DAMP but, at times the loot drops can maddening.Observation after 200+ hours of MP DAI play. I'm jelly lol, my poor assassin finally got a good dagger with 200 plus DPS.If there was a link between prestige and weapon quality then I would love to hear how my first purple was a lvl 18 dagger when my first character was only level 10?

If anything, it gets worse. I havent seen anything good in the last 100 prestige levels.

You play on perilous you say? What prestige level are you? And what is the reason for you to run on perilous when you know this is what happens? Not that I nescessarily say that this is the best advice for you, but I think you would be better off grinding for gold in threatening, or even routine. Levels honestly dont matter, you need that gold to get more chests to try to get those OP items eventually.
And besides, it is more fun when you dont have to do as you describe - spend 5 minutes on a single enemy. Sounds to me like you are hitting above your weightclass.

I don't think prestige has to do with good drop
i'm currently prestige 216 and spent nearly 250 hours DAMP , fortunately got some interresting unique to hold on perilous with good team
I don't wanna get that much prestige ( my 3 main characters are lvl 20 and I don't want to reset all time ) than nice items to perfom better in perilous
Have you ever played diablo 3 vanilla ...? You 'd been depressive how random dropping was ( I mean for legendaries ) and currently with expansion reaper of souls some unique there are about ratio like 0.70 percent loot ...
it's all about RNG ( random number generator )
Nothing else whatever difficulty you play in DAMP .
My advice to you Stormheart83 , if you haven't patience for this , give away .

Best advice to people failing on Perilous. Form a group of friends with mics and enjoy co-op play* and speed run Routine or Threatening depending on what your gear supports.
How to properly speed run.
Party members must be able to handle any chest room alone or help from only one other person. All players kill and collect gold while rushing to the end, calling out chest rooms they cannot open. Each class understands they are to take on their own chest room alone and collect all gold pots inside before trying to catch up.
So you MUST be OP for the difficulty, i.e. we did this on Routine first, but it wasn't long we could do it on Threatening. We all promoted allot, so the lowest level toon tried to help with treasure rooms as the OP toons pressed on. GREAT way to help each other and level FAST.
Toon in the lead should NOT skip gold pots to stay in lead and get kills (like so many jerks do MP). When lead toon gets to chapter door, they make sure others are done with collecting gold pots and chest rooms before they pull. As soon as game ends, only take a minute to level toon abilities, if applicable, and repeat.
You do this for a couple of hours, you will surprised how much gold and xp you will all get. We try to get enough for 10 large chests before we take a break and buy large chests.
For people wanting better gear, I believe this is the best statistical way to get it. If you are struggling at Threatening or Perilous, (Not at least getting to the boss wave) then you need to back down and speed run until you promote enough times and get the gear that support it---bottom line.
This is the best method my friends and I have found to play the game. We are now to the point that when we tired of speed runs, we play perilous together and at this point have about a 33% success rate on perilous.
V/R Fawlcon--Game on!
* The hardest part is getting three other people WITH MICs and who like to do teamwork vrs me me me. If you like teamwork & have a Mic, PM me with your on line name I will send you a friend request after I check out your profile (so don't send me one).

I was under the impression that the loot system in this game was going to be an improvement over ME3MP... Its drastically decreased in quality instead. I guess you cant believe everything you hear REPEATEDLY in EVERY LIVE STREAM
