My reaction to the Divine dying (which I don't consider a spoiler at this point, since they confirm it within the first 5-10 minutes) was to declare "I called it!"  When I read the insistence that there was a lot of strong female characters (and that there was too much of a focus on the lack of female companions,) I had a feeling that they were doing to do something like that.  

 

Oh and Fiona was mentioned as an example too of a "strong female leader of Thedas."  At least they didn't kill her off right after you clicked New Game, only made her look like one of the biggest idiots in Thedas.   She may have had fairly decent reasons, but I think her brains got replaced with an easily scared rabbit.

 

Note that I've always been indifferent to Fiona, but even I thought the Idiot Ball BioWare handed her in the game was too big.

Wait, I still haven´t solved that part. She joined the ugly old guy of her own accord? I thought he had used BM on her, that alliance seemed too stupid to be voluntary.

I thought Cassandra, Josaphine and Morrigan all look beautiful. Sometimes Cassandra's expressions and smiles were downright adorable and made her seem even prettier. My opinion, though.

 

I'm gay, but Cassandra does things to me in Inquisition. She's been developed into such an exceedingly wonderful character.

This is fanart of Celene from long ago. I think I remember a dev commenting on this saying they liked it and might show it to some of the artists on staff. I hoped for a long time that she would look something like this, but ten years passed in-game and then Frostbite just can't do long hair and fancy dresses.

He did some magic crap to emotional manipulate her (time travel,) but never used Blood Magic on her.  She's that damned stupid, no matter if you side mage or templar.

If you side with the Templars, she'll go and be Cory's right hand gal.  If you side with the mages, you find out that she still sided with the Magister because time travel was used so Alexius could be the "miraculous savior" for the mages.

An average woman should look average, an empress should look extravagant and over the top, especially if she's the empress of such a flamboyant and opulent nation as Orlais. Her clothes and hair are just too plain. She should have gotten a unique hairstyle and a much more detailed and outstanding dress

She is not supposed to be presented as beautiful in this story, her emaciated look is a metaphor for the country she represents. Bioware is very heavy handed about many of their assorted PSA's in the game and this is just another one. Celene is actually worried about her country and as many times is pointed out to many across Thedas, Celene is Orlais. As Orlais is torn apart and pulled thin like soft skin stretching over extremely genetically gifted cheekbones, so is she.

granted this is a video game and fantasy setting but, hey, what can you do?
