Sera was annoying but well-written. Blackwall was likable but bland as hell. I'm aware that both of the characters get deeper if you do their quests, but honestly, I didn't care enough to investigate either. Also, though I liked Iron Bull, I didn't care for his voice actor. Felt it didn't match the character.

Vivienne. I respected her cold logic at first but as she revealed more of herself she seemed simply petty, selfish, power-hungry, and insecure. Disappointing snooty pants.

As an Elf character and I've played Dalish in Origins. Sera is the most annoying. Like she if filled with being anti elf. She does not like the Alienage tree. Thinks elves or whatever. She annoys me way too much.

If we're talking about indifference, I don't care either way for Blackwall or The Iron Bull.

Yeah, Blackwall is slow going...

I wonder what kind of food Sheryl Chee called him? Takes time to digest, whatever it is :D

Hmm if I had to pick one its viv. Mainly because after the mage/Templar stuff she just seems so indifferent and detached from what's going on. Maybe I had banter issues as well but she also never really said anything when in party.

i could not stand Blackwall, his VA sounded so uninterested in his role that he was just so boring to bring along, and personally I just didn't really like cole that much, nothing against him, i just barely would speak to him or take him with me.

Cole is just too damn weird. I kept him in the Inquisition because, well, I take all the help I can get. Other than that, I try not to communicate.

Vivienne, without a doubt. She just a manipulative ****** who only think about herself and her ambition. A Morrigan wanna be, but not success.

At least Morrigan can care about the Warden and (I think) deep inside, she has the heart of gold. Vivienne's, however, is pure black.

Not from who I liked or dislike the best, but the characters whom evoked the least feelings from me (whether positive or negative) go from:

Blackwall > Iron Bull > Josephine > Vivienne > Cassandra > Cullen > Sera > Varric > Leliana > Dorian > Cole > Solas

Varric and Leliana mostly get the high spots due to their past appearances, had I only known them this game, they might be lower, but I still care for them deeply. I actually really loved all of the characters, even the ones at the bottom. Perhaps with the exception of Blackwall, whom I liked fine as a person, but don't believe he was that great of a character.

Morrigan.....has the golden heart....

You're talking about a woman who tells the City Elf to sacrifice her own father in a crazed blood magic ritual, for a measley +1 constitution bonus.

Cole ... too bad we don't have some kind of Suicide Mission, or have to choose one char to sacrifice himself ... it would be always Cole. Cole no doubt. I don't care for Cole. I don't like Cole. Did I say I would gladly sacrifice him? Cole...

Blackwall. I mean, he's a good character but... on my second playthrough, whenever he says something about the Wardens, it makes my teeth itch.

For instance, an elven lady wanted to join the Wardens. I had Solas convince her not to because hey, we know some freaky sh*t is happening with them, so why put this random lady in a risky situation? Blackwall disapproves. Despite the fact that he has taken literally none of the risks or sacrifices to be a Warden. He blathers on about his idealistic view of them, but knows literally nothing about them. Recruits people for a group he has no idea about! The great bearded hypocrite.

Blackwall, I get why he's vague when you talk to him since he's a war criminal pretending to be a member of a secretive order he knows nothing about. And at the same time you can pretty much expend most of his dialogue before reaching Skyhold. Also his non-fetch personal quest doesn't pop up until you've reached the start of the endgame so he's just sort of sitting there for most of the game.

Sera is petty, cruel, and needlessly brutal (see rendering that noble to a pulp in her personal quest). She claims to hate being lied to and wants to know the truth behind what's going on, but refuses to change or grow when she discovers that the truth doesn't fit into her black and white view of the world. So the end result is a character who not only undergoes next to no character development, but actively tries to avoid it. She's little more than crass comic relief, which is a shame because there was a lot of potential there.

I'm going to have to answer this once my banter starts working because I think you really get to know the characters better outside of skyhold just in the way they interact with eachother. Sera being afraid of magic is something I just learned in my 2nd pt and it's rather endearing. Cole trying to comfort bull after personal quest, also endearing. Liked them better after a few well placed banters...

Viv. I just can't stand her. She has almost no redeeming qualities to me at any point, and just makes me mad. I feel that's a strength of the one who wrote her character, so I don't think she is badly done.

She's a b****. But she knows. She better.

She reminds me of Loghain, and I killed him on every playthrough.

I already said Solas, but now I'm going to add Blackwall and Varric. Now that I'm on my third play through, I find myself completely ignoring or out right forgetting about them.

Varric > Cassandra > Cullen > Leliana > Iron Bull > Josephine > Cole > Solas > Blackwall > Vivienne > Sera >>> Dorian

Dorian was the most cliche addled and completely boring character BioWARE created this side of Liara. He's not as Mary Sue as she is, but even with less screen time, he's still nothing but cliche.

One good thing about this game, though, is that (with the exception of the very beginning) you are never forced to take anyone on a mission that is not their own personal one, which is more than I could say about Liara.

Sera. Although I acknowledge she is an extremely well-done character, as I got to know her more and more, her personality became very off-putting. I like her party banter, and I like the general idea of the wild and stupid teenager. Her and Blackwall share some endearing brother and sister-like conversation. That being said, she's one large poop and fart joke or, really, the Deadpool of Dragon Age; at first I'm like, "I can dig this," and then her shtick became tiresome and I kind of wished I could have punched her instead of Solas. Her irreverence and immaturity is so gosh darn cringe-inducing, even if she can be good comedic relief as her introduction during the Orlesian ball mission had me rolling.

Then again, I'm a huge Vivienne fan, so...
