....Oh... oh ****.
That's pretty goddamn brilliant.

That's pretty goddamn brilliant.
Well...damn.
Huh.
Obviously this means time travel.
Well then.
That's... interesting. ![]()

They should have put some hair on that statue. Maybe we would have ended up with a Solas with hair.

Well, ****.
Now I know they're not making it up as they go.
Why are they doing this to us?
Could possibly be why they introduced time travel magic in the Mage quest line yet never brought it up again.
Huh.
Obviously this means time travel.
Okay so I'm gonna be that person and ask--please explain.
I get that picture 1 is the idol, check. Picture 2 is Solas over Flemythal at the end, check.
But what's the context? How does the idol relate? I don't see how the two images are connected (possibly because they are just too small and I can't see anything in them).

Here. Eight pages of substantial collaborative speculation. Take your pick as to who's right or wrong. For the most part we're working off facts and not wild stabbings in the dark.
Translations of Ancient Elven codices included.
The fact that we've connected the Ancient Elves to red lyrium and the Blight before this little revelation kind of says we're on the right track.
Here are some more pictures. There are actually three figures on the idol:
Example #1 Where someone pulled the model and put it into the Sims:

Example #2 Screens from the game (bottom right shows the third figure):

Make of those what you will.
Mind=Blown.
Ah ok, thanks for the extra images. I'm just going to put it into words since no one else seems to want to: The figure looks like a lady with a dude collapsed over her, very similar in appearance to the stinger in DAI. It also looks like they're being eating by a dragon?
In the words of the Chaos God Tzeentch...
Just as planned.
Well, I'll be damned. Props to Bioware.
Pretty sure its no accident. The devs did say that Inquisition was what they wanted to do all along.
They said Inquisition was what they wanted when it comes to scale. Story wise, they've already said that they've been planning for DAI since DAO, and it was in development during DA2's development which is pretty evident when you look at all the threads in DA2 (i.e. Corypheus, Mythal, Red Lyrium)
Bloody Hell!
Could possibly be why they introduced time travel magic in the Mage quest line yet never brought it up again.
Also if that's a Dwarven idol, why aren't they dwarves?
How do we know the idol is dwarven?

So i wonder, does that means Sola's or Flemeth where the voices that made Meredith and Bartrand go insane.
