I was in the Forest Camp in Hinterlands and finally was able to test what I had wondered: i.e. if hostiles were able to enter into camp and, if they were able, would your camp soldiers help fight the hostile.

The answer is that hostiles cannot enter camp.

Granted, I may need to do more evidence, but in the Forest Camp, I kept attacking a single bear and it continued to begin to charge towards my party. However, every time it came within a few feet of the camp border, it appeared to be unable to move forward and began to disengage combat regardless of how many times my mage attacked it.

And it is good thing bears can not enter your camps...imagine the destruction these beasts will sow!

If you want to see if the inquisition soldiers help you fight btw you might want to lure a mob to some that are around caches (no idea how to know where they show sorry....they just appear from time to time).

I'm sure in Emprise du Lion I had enemies attack me while I was in camp. I could be wrong as it would have been last week (finished at the weekend) and my memory is hazy, but I'm pretty sure I'm not...

There is a campsite in the east of the Hinterlands where bears do spawn a lot (so much it became annoying tbh). And several times they were so close to the camp that my soldiers should've reacted, but didn't. A bit disappointing.

I specifically told my people that if they ever saw bears they should stay as close to the tents as they could. And if a bear actually got into the camp they should run.

We don't need any heroes.

This is what your ending title screen will say:

"The Inquisition, though successfull at first, was later crushed by 10 bears in the Hinterlands, its soldiers cowering in fear. Upon interogation they stated that their leader explicitely told them to not angage bears, an obvious lie to cover up for their personal fear."

:D

Mobs can come into camps and attack you.

You clearly underestimate the amount of time my inquisitor spent in the Hinterlands hunting down the monsters known as "bears"! Leave such dangerous matters to the one with the green, glowy hand! :P Trust me, me ending title screen will say that from that day on there were no bears to be found in all of Thedas. And everyone rejoiced, for they were free at last.

In a few centuries they shall return, and that age shall be known as the "Bear Age".

Did anyone else think something very very different when they saw the title 'Bears vs camp'?

In the context of the last few days' worth of threads... Yes, yes I did.

I don't think soldiers will attack anything, once in awhile a smuggler will show up in the crossroads, which is under Inquisition protection, and they will just stand there or disappear while you fight them.
