Christmas episodes. When a program reaches its highest peak of narrative prowess and delivers a story that might brighten your day, or alternatively when it falls to into the valley of hackneyed cliché and rips off a Christmas Carol for the hundredth time. We all have favourites. What's yours?

 

 

A number of examples spring to mind for me, but for my absolute favourite I'll go with the The Outer Limits which had a Christmas episode called 'The Conversion' that stuck with me for a while after watching it. It starts with that most universal of stories: a man contemplating killing his boss at the office Christmas party. Aliens or something get involved and you fill in the blanks.

A Charlie Brown Christmas of course! I'm very nostalgic when it comes to Christmas movies/shows, and you can never go wrong with Charlie Brown.

 

 

And, my personal favorite to watch during Christmas. I love this movie so I have to mention it. I've watched it almost every year since I was a kid and I still love watching at Christmas time.

Futurama episode titled "X-mas Story" back when John Goodman voiced Santa. Loved it and love the show so yeah

Episode?  Hmph Charley Brown...however Christmas movies....

 

 

A Christmas Carol, 1951 version.  One of the best movies of all time, let alone best Christmas movies

 

 

A Christmas Story, just a funny great movie that reminds me of many things about Christmas as I was growing up.

 

 

One Magic Christmas, An underrated Christmas film, if you have not seen this one try to do so.  Very good.

 

 

A well known classic, never gets old and the voice acting of Boris Karloff is superb.

That actually was a fun episode on itself.
