I think astrology is nonsense, but I'm a Taurus FWIW.

 

I have multiple stories regarding this issue.

 

The one worth mentioning occurred in one of my first psychology classes after a student (who dropped the class immediately after this incident) questioned my professor about telepathy/astrology/etc. For the next class we were given a series of descriptions and asked to identify which one fit us more. After we chose a description the professor then revealed which astrological sign the description matched. No one picked their actual astrology sign.

 

On a side note, I recall one of my high school teachers (when we got into the star/planet sections) mentioned that the astrological signs were based off of ancient Egyptian/Greek constellations, and since the stars have changed their positions slightly (depending on the star) that the mapping for astrology signs was three months off. Which means that the astrological signs that we all have based on the month are wrong simply because we're looking at the wrong ones.

 

Since I have no interest in astrology (which is really a misnomer) nor have I found any of the horoscopes etc. to actually fit my life I don't see much value in it. I view it in the same vein as the Myers-Briggs personality type and fortune cookies. Interesting to know if it interests you, but overall unimportant in everyday life.

 

I'm sure I'll annoy some people with this opinion, but that's the nature of opinions.
