^you're pagan or something right? I guess astrology is part of your beliefs, that's cool. What I don't understand is why people who are openly atheist but still believe in astrology for the reason, that's hypocritical.

Because to them it isn't a religion. It's a way for them to understand themselves better.

I'd say it's a faulty way, since in my experience astrology is highly vague or attempts to explain behavior in a way that doesn't fit EVERYONE like it claims. I believe that people find something that does fit them, then they just roll with the description. Especially when the description makes them appear "good" even though it may not fully apply.

There was in fact a study that showed that there's many atheists who actually believe in superstitions like dreams telling the future and astrology whilst, contrary to the claims of many atheists, many religious people don't. http://www.wsj.com/a...178219865054585

So it's not hypocritical. It's just proof that being atheist doesn't make you automatically rational. Not all atheists are naturalists.

Mostly I find its "new age mystics" who believe in this stuff though.

It's not necessarily a bad thing either. If it makes them happier in their daily lives, is not maladaptive, and is not harming others they can go believe in it.

The only issues I have with it is all of those things, or when the person starts overgeneralizing people due to astrology.

People are NEVER that simple. Although there are certain behaviors that either have a correlation/direct causation with each other, but I doubt we'll ever come to a concrete link with astrology.

actually, I do have ability to see into future and can experience many different horrible futures, even can experience a person's life before death. I also have ability to retain a person's memories. so I can literally know what that person used to live after death. it's crazy, but it's actually true.

I have some questions about that.

The first being, are you sure you're actually perceiving reality instead of a hallucination?

If it isn't a hallucination what would it be?

I think it may have something to do with being highly emphatic, but testing that is a different matter entirely. Jung's collective unconscious could also be used to explain it, but that is another thing that we can't fully test (unless we get an actual Animus built).

when I sleep, I experience dreams of futures, past, present or a person's life. one time, I did experience Paul Walker's final moments before he died a year ago. it was filled of sadness but with love I felt his emotion flow through me all up to the moment he died.

I do know difference between reality and fantasy. what I had was an vivid version of a person's life flowing through me. I could see what they did or tried to do etc. and I can sense someone I know that used to live in our living realm are just nearby like as spirit. you could see them, talk to them or they come to you if you're hurting, hurt badly etc.

they will try to keep your pain down much as they can until you get fixed up or be okay for bit.

it's what I experienced before. many times.

I think astrology is nonsense, but I'm a Taurus FWIW.

Yeah, I can see that now. You seem stubborn. So am I.

Taurus, here. I was born in the year of the ox too in the Chinese zodiac. So, totally stubborn and hotheaded. I'm the paragon of celestial oxenhood.

So, moo.

It's been a few months since I studied some clinical psych, but don't you mean delusion?

Cancer. Meh. It would've been much better if they'd called it leprosy.

I'm sure I was born under the sign of The Sloth anyway.

This is the perfect example of me <_<

The Gemini Woman

geminimini.jpgA Gemini woman is two, or more, women rolled into one. Some might argue this is far too much woman altogether, but Geminis are simply who they are, making no apologies for it. The timid, the weak and the timorous need not apply.  Impossible to pigeon hole, she is a will-o-wisp, a changeling, a mix of intriguing personalities. One minute demure and doting, the next ruthlessly sarcastic, Gemini can turn from Madame Jekyll, dotting her I's and crossing her T's with impeccable manners, to Ms Hyde, wild and unpredictable, but no less fascinating.

A Gemini woman is extremely clever and has the ability to discuss every subject under the sun - politics, religion, travel - then just as easily switch to talking about the latest celebrity faux pas.  She is incessantly curious, prodding and poking at every angle and idea, her agile mind flitting from one thought to the other faster than lightning. She is witty, quick with one-liners, and will remember the tiniest, most obscure trivia. She loves to talk, but as a means to discuss, to gather ideas and information, not simply to fill empty spaces of silence.

How do you describe a Gemini woman, enough to do her justice? How do you catch a cloud and pin it down? Ruled by Mercury, she is an intellectual, her mind is first class, her views original and extraordinary. Easily bored, Gemini women need constant change, movement, and communication to feel challenged and entertained. Geminis are renowned for their charm, and use it to great effect.

This combination of high intelligence, eloquence, wit and charm serves the Gemini woman well. She is often a writer, musician, playwright or politician. Famous Gemini women include Angelina Jolie, Anne Frank, Helena Bonham Carter, Joan Collins, and Kirsten Scott Thomas.

My birthday falls on the 20th of April which means I'm either an Aries or a Taurus depending on what source you use.

There are even several sources that say there is a small subset of people (myself included) who fall between these two signs and have characteristics of both.

Scorpio.

I look up the traits.

Eh.

Some of them fit me.

But there's no mention of "will have the libido of a horny Labrador."

So it's mostly BS.

Chinese ones are more interesting - I'm an Earth Dragon and the description is pretty much spot on.
