I'm working on a new project for DAMP. This one will be for tracking bugs and feature (enhancement) requests. I've only half-way completed the project because I wasn't sure if it was a worth-while venture. Essentially what it does is allows players to enter in known issues, assigns it a "issue number". The update features will allow other users to add changes to "new" items. Currently I'm working out the random generator for the issue numbering system which apparently I'll have to write my own function. The update feature will have to be done via scripting (this is why I'm writing this thread). I don't want to invest the time creating this project if it won't be used that often.
The update feature for issue will allow other players to "verify" a reported bug, set it "unable to duplicate" (i.e. the bug is questionable or doesn't occur on their system", and resolved (fix by BW).
The update feature for enhancements will allow other users to comment on features requested and change the status (if it's added in).
The purpose of the project is to consolidate issues and ideas being written up in BSN. Here's the link for the Entry Form and Database. The only functional features are the report issues and request enhancements. I wanted people to get a feel for how it works. Feel free to play with it. I'll be deleting the test data afterwards. I If you want to put live data in there then mark it with "<LIVE DATA>" in the description so that I don't erase it later. Feedback is welcomed. Are there any items that should be added to the entry form or tracked in the DB as well besides what I already have?
Shamless plug: Also check-out another project I added recently. It's not all fancy like the EQ and this DB, but it's does it's job. It's a playerlist so that other players can find each other. http://forum.bioware...-mp-playerlist/
If there's a different project you'd like to see added in. Drop a Like, Comment or... darn it wrong website... leave a comment below.
