Your privilege is showing, dear.
Jesus Christ I hate that term.
But I think he/she was making a joke. Than again, you might be joking too. Idunno
No, It's all very serious.
Well, you're already doing it.
Yes, I'm a man of my word.
Okay.
First, I don't believe it was just a time issue. At GaymerX they were talking about a character that they were going to make bi but it didn't fit them, so they ended up straight. That sounds like Cullen to me. So far the only confirmation we've gotten is from an ex employee, so until WOG comes in, I remain with this opinion.
Second, the issue with patching is at this point it would definitely be a retcon. (Oh how I loathe using that word. Look what you make me do!) They've referred to him as straight, he is straight. It was an idea to make him bi (an idea which I completely disagree with, for reasons already stated in this thread), but it ended up just that: an idea. Ideas get cut and changed from games all the time. The thing is, we don't even know how far along it was when it got cut. There's a few lines, which are posted above, but we don't even know if everything got recorded by the time they decided, "won't have enough time for this." Again, I'm not convinced it was solely time, but if it was them the brakes.
I truly do hope for future gay/lesbian/bi KISAs in the future, though. I do not support 'patching' this in.
You know what i do with guys that have different opinion to mine? I dont push them away in a thread where everybody whatever they stand is are welcome
its a matter of giving your own say in this kind of forum.
or do you prefer everybody agrees with you and back off the ones are not?
I enjoy a good debate and actually seek out other opinions when I don't understand them. What I don't abide is when people make no attempt to understand the other side and make dismissive and rude comments to people trying to hold a civil conversation.
Now, why don't you explain to me why you are opposed to or in favor of them including this cut content in the game. So far, I've gathered that it's because you feel victimized in some way? Or was that not your attempt at civil conversation?

That tweet is not official, so I would take that with a grain of salt unless we see something come from Bioware. I wonder if that person could actually get into trouble? With my employer we can get into big trouble if we step out of line on the interwebs, even after termination.
As for the recordings...there's like 60sec total, only about 5sec of that from Cullen's voice actor...that doesn't seem like they got very far. Is it possible they were toying with the idea and then pulled it off the table right at the beginning?
I do agree that if Bioware DID pull it off the table, they shouldn't have shipped the game files with that stuff still there.
So I ran out of likes...here is my iouFor the record, I don't even want them to patch in bisexual Cullen, since what is done is done.
The horrific comments in here lured me into the prospect of a fun brawl.

Same for me, I'm posting on origin browser while the game is loading. It's cool to read these heated threads. I wonder how many people participate in these threads with honest intentions.
Well when you think bout it, the PLAYER has the same amount of romance options.
But Monica could have worded that better, because from another perspective, that isn't true. Lesbians get 2, gay man get 2 straight men get 2. Straight women get like, 4, right? And we all know bisexuals get the most, cuz that be mother nature, right?
I probably could have, but my point is that when people are talking about one character they're not talking about equality. They're talking about "want to." That's different.

Personally I get a kick out of fighting in romance threads, LMAO.
But I still strongly believe that gay and bisexual content should continue in BioWare's games. I'm glad they are so inclusive.
It wasn't very effective...
Was it used against a ghost type?
Right, but that's the difference. Removing Sera's lesbian sexuality does have implications beyond just the romance content. That was my point in differentiating between Cullen and Sera. For Cullen, because there are already several other straight guys, the 'effect' remains within the romance content. With Sera, it means that lesbians are removed from the inner circle altogether.
I understand the situation and implications about Sera and I absolutely see no reason to make her bisexual, but that's not the point I was trying to make. If Bioware did make both Cullen and Solas bisexual, there would be only one straight male who could be romanced. What I am getting from your arguments is that because there are lots of heterosexuals, it's not so bad if they lose some. That strikes me as really wrong, though perhaps that's not what you're implying. Please correct me if I am wrong.
You see where I am getting at though? The problem with wanting more representation in the media for minorities is that it can create a new inequality in favor of the formerly disenfranchised people. And it doesn’t actually solve the problem, because there’s no amount of “make-it-up-to-them” possible to compensate for all those years the minorities were excluded.
Let me make it clear that I really admire Bioware for trying to appeal to various demographics as much as they can. But I believe that more representation of one group shouldn't be happening in spite of another, even if they happen to be the majority. That's not the kind of solution we should aim for.

Curse me for not being able to land a super effective hit.

As long as LBGT characters are a result of Bioware's creative expression and not to tick checklists to satisfy tumblr I'm fine with it too. All I care is that the writers get to freely express themselves without being put into boxes by zealous whiners. It would be disingenuous and fake.
daveliam disagrees agrees with me? That just made my day. ![]()
@Baerdface: While I did kind of agree with you in some of your previous posts, you're just making yourself look like a jackass now. Just stop, please.
Yours sincerely, a straight guy.
I don't think they will patch Cullen's romance for male Inquisitors anymore. I think it's cut for sure. So I guess this song that I used when I found out he's racegated fits quite well:
I guess the debate whetever Cullen is hetero or bisexual still remains. I'm not sure which one he is. Was the bisexuality only idea that didn't work or was m/m romance cut because of time and resource restriction (bisexual romances require twice as much animations).

Look what I found on twitter.
