I've said this in another thread but I'll repeat it here since it's relevant: I'm very much in favour of every romance partner being bisexual and adjusting to the player being either male or female. I think that would be the best compromise since if people want Cullen to be in a straight romance they can indulge in that whilst those who want him to be gay can still enjoy the character to the fullest extent.
I'll be very, very disappointed if Cullen was indeed intended to be bisexual only for it to be scrapped. After Alistair in Dragon Age I really wanted a classically handsome knight to romance - yet so far that hasn't been an option. Neither Dorian or Iron Bull appeals to me and so I ended up romancing Cassandra and Josephine instead.
Having everyone be bisexual is not realistic. Not every person you see in public is gay, straight, or bi they all have their own preference. I like that Bioware stopped the everyone is bi trend from DA2 in this game and had characters that actually had preferences based on race etc. You may find the cashier at a store attractive. However they may not be attracted to you or even like anyone of your gender race etc. That's the way it is in the real world and more games should reflect that instead of catering to everyone.
