I'm trying to decide how I feel about the avi change.   On one hand:  Ser Barris .  On the other hand, old school FF black mage .  I guess it's a winning situation either way....?

You know, I am actually hoping to get Ser Michel de Chevin as companion in DA4, and gay LI (not bi). For some personal & inexplicable reason, I always had feeling that this might do the best justice to his story arc... (personal opinion only). Like I always prefer Leliana's pairing with a female Warden (well... especially an Amell lady...).

 

I would like Ser Michel to be that LI who is very very discreet about his sexuality, unlike Dorian whose personal story arc revolves around this. IRL, I know several gay guys & while some of them are really open about the topic, some others prefers just to be discreet. We have a character in DA:I whose story turns around this subject, why not one who is very discreet about this & just happen to be gay? Michel's an awesome warrior in any case, and a very loyal one. He has great potential. The thing is that in TME it's said that he had bed women. But well, they can create reasons for this...

 

Well, him or Ser Barris or both. But I suspect that it's hard since both of 'em can die in DA:I...

I think another reason is that Bioware answered whether it would happen or not, so any discussion is academic at this point rather than having the hope of them doing it thus having people defend the idea as passionately.

Gaider tweeted that he would not be restoring the content and that straight characters don't have to justify being straight. That's about as official as it will get, I think.

I oppose the idea. There is already too many non straight romances in the game. Limiting it further will most probably alienate a healthy majority of players who happen to endorse straight romances.

I think this was the same poster that insisted that the DA games need a straight female elf for his PC to have babies with in order to secure the future of the People.  Oh no, a bisexual female elf wouldn't do, they would have to be 100% straight.   Because...reasons that still make no sense.  Take that as you will.

Because non straight character would indicate possibility of romantic union, that is 'she'(as we are speaking about my suggestion thread) would decide to choose a female instead a male to breed with and engage in arranged marriage. These reasons make perfect sense.
