I would say the internet is the best place to toughen up, I wouldn't have developed my Dragon skin without it (its impervious to most things, well fire at least). Not to mention if you feel things are getting out of hand, there is always the option to close your browser.
Is our society becoming a bunch of whipped cowards?

People should not be stupid jerks.
And say stupid jerk things.

That's mostly Tumblr.
And it's quite amusing if you treat it like a sitcom.
I have this one guy added on tumblr.. He's a nice guy but I swear he uses words like misogyny/sexist/racist like 30 times solid every day. A girl is shown in so much as her bikini in a game and he makes an post about how it's misogynistic. And these SJW act like they are making a difference by doing so... I mean it's fracking tumblr. The term preaching to the choir comes to mind.

The only solution is to start a Fight Club.
This breaks the 1st rule of Fight Club

There's a difference between being easily offended and someone lacking in total manner or trolling others. You can always go live inside a cavern if society is too much for you. Than with your others cavernite friend you can fart/burp and yell racial slurs all day at each other.

I think it's mostly people finding it hard to maintain a sense of neutrality when they're passionate about their ideals.
Which is fine.
I don't think it's fine. Passion seems to have overtaken their senses, causing their brains to travel to their asses. What happened to equanimity and rational discourse? People talk about what should be, but never put out any practical solutions to the problems of the world. It's just talk, talk, talk. And it sucks that the troglodytes are allowed to spread their vocal diarrhea through social megaphones.

Clearly Michael Raney's hidden identity is being the Arishok.

@Isichar I don't mean to be rude, but does he watch/play/listen to most media? I really doubt a company would try to incriminate themselves by being "prejudiced."
The guy in tumblr?
Not sure if he plays games, and he doesn't post much in regards to music, he watches a lot of shows though.
Not really sure what you're referring to with any companies though. I was just talking about an individual user on a blogging site.
I mean I respect people that care about these issues, but reblogging countless times on a site like tumblr with these issues is reduntant and just a bit pointless.. Plus it wastes a lot of my data on my phone since I typically use tumblr to look up anime art and **** well I'm at work on breaks.

It seems like every day someone gets offended by something, calling for bans. Or that we're warned about this and that, or given false impressions by the media.
Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if someone calls for banning bicycles, cause you can fall and scratch your knee or some bullshit.
You can't mock fat people either anymore, or just use the word fat, or you'll be labelled as a fatshamer. Say retard, and you're an ableist or whatever bullshit word they come up with.
Thank God, most of this crap is online only, but I'm also slowly seeing it creep in to real life situation, hell someone got offended when I used the phrase "man up"
What the hell happened?

Well, first of all, it depends on what country you live in. In my country, you can say whatever you want to a person or a group of people. We have rights that protect freedom of speech and freedom of expression. It doesn't mean you won't get a response or be called out on what you've said though. That said, forums on the internet have their own set of rules and those exist primarily to weed out undesirables and keep things running smoothly.
Personally, I think you're taking this a little too seriously.

When a guy lands a robot on a comet and gets harassed over his t-shirt cause it's "offending" I think it's not that far out there, that society is getting more and more whipped.

That message made by Della was just so stupid. I can't believe someone seriously wrote that and thought it was a good idea to sent that.

This thread is offensive, I demand it be taken down right now.
Seriously though, lots of people are becoming easily offended squishy jellyfish and lots of people are becoming insensitive jerks. At least on the internet.
The plus side to this is the opportunity to troll extremists on both sides.
