NOTE: Just incase, at most, this may be slight spoiler for a simple sidequest. Not sure. *shrugs*
Well, that was neat. ![]()
I found the Elves quite a bit after I did two things. I started clockwise from where I started, and found some ruins and looted the graves (damn you Skyrim habit) then while hunting for leather, found a special Halla Hide (not sure what kind, beyond being able to stealth during combat when not attacking).
Then of course, I meet two Elves being attacked, then learning about their camp. Then, LUCKY ME, I can't talk to the short white haired Elf with the Halla, who keeps saying "I'll never forget what you've done" followed by various forms of 'Thanks!'
The problem is, I believe it was the Keeper, freaked at me for grave robbing (see above) before I was even aware it was a quest, and I'm pretty sure I noted somewhere online about herding a Golden Halla back to the camp. Which makes the "I'll never forget what you've done" take on a totally different meaning, despite it not quite matching his friendlier commentary.
My opinion, the Golden Halla, if it shows before meeting the Elves, SHOULD NOT be there until you speak to the Elves. Otherwise, you are screwing yourself without even knowing about the stupid thing. Additionally, the graves thing, well either you shouldn't be able to mess with them until you speak with the Elves, or something more specific should be pointed out. Cassandra said something when I first showed up there, but I can't recall what it was exactly.
Its incredibly frustrating because I feel I shouldn't be penalized by something that wasn't even triggered by a quest yet (atleast in regards to the Halla).
On a separate note, if this is not the case in regards to who I'm assuming is the Halla shepard, then its glitchy and he won't talk to me, despite the ! above his head.
I'm hoping this will either be fixed, or if nothing else, made noteworthy in the inevitable Walkthroughs that will (or are) be available online.
