OK let's not get into what happened thus far with the release of this game, but you know it and we all know it.. Its a hot mess. Buggy gameplay and sub par loot mechanics (other than for the lucky few who win the lottery every other day), and poor communication, in a game where you hope to keep a player base for longer than it takes to play through your game once and then move on, let's just say you are not off to a good start. I think that you see this and to try and salvage those players who have not completly given up on you, you decided to kick out more content (thank you) and fire up weekend events, but again we start the cycle over bugs, crashes, more angry gamers and future customers being driven off... This is the bad news, however I don't think this game is a total loss just yet.

What keeps me logging in even though I must say I am about done doing, is the fact that beneath it all this would be a really, really good game with long term potential if you just get it running right, and by that I mean fix gameplay issues that decrease your players enjoyment, so what are those exactly?

Problem:

1) Keys don't drop forcing the host to quit out to allow the rest of the group to move on.
2) Loss of textures halfway through a match again forcing you to quit and recieve nothing except gold
3) Joining a match and not being able to move at all or sometimes only turn in one direction

All of these problems are probably going to take a lot of time sorting through code and take a lot more time to fix than you want to spend so here is an easy(easier at least) work around.

Fix: Add a feature to allow the games to be set to private once a match has started or add a option when you go to close the game that allows you to migrate the host without you having to leave the group. So now you don't have to actually address those bugs and have given the players a way to deal with them on their own. 3 problems not solved but made tolerable.

Problem:

RNG is frustrating and unrewarding to the majority of the player base.

I know there have been 100 suggestions on how this should be done but I have a different approach that will not only improve the system but also help you to build the type of long term players I assume you are wanting.

Fix: My idea is multi faceted, to start with you need people to log in every day, you do this by starting up a daily log in reward, I suggest this system:

Log in each day and receive 1200 gold
Log in for 7 days in a row and receive a chest that has a GUARANTEED Rare or Unique item of IL 15 or above.
Log in for 30 days in a row and you can pick the item type you want the chest to contain.

I further suggest that once you get people to log in you want them to actually play, not just log in get gold and log out, so I suggest this:

Log in and complete 3 games on any difficulty and double your reward for that day. This would continue all the way through to the 30 day reward.

See what I did there? You get people to log in and get 1 free large chest per day, if they play they get 2, if they have incredibly bad luck as I seem to then at least once a week they have hope of getting something a character can actually use or needs, and once a month a really good chance. This along with weekend events will have people back playing in no time.

Problem: Poor Communication between BWE and the players.

Fix: Start developing a better dialogue with the players and be more transparent as to what is coming next, what is being worked on, and a general acknowledgement of issues. What is not needed is a glorified babysitter, what is needed is straight talk whether its what people want to hear or not any information is better than none. I am not suggesting engaging in arguments with players, half the people on this forum are trolls anyways and will say anything just to get a reaction. If people think they are being heard you won't see half of the negative posts on here that just keep popping up. No one thinks game programmers or developers are infallible so if you don't know an answer an "we will look into it, or an we are aware of the problem" will suffice just fine.

So I am sure there are other people with more ideas than this but mine are pretty simple, they address the main issues I and the people I talk with experience, and it helps you to reestablish this game as the next gen multiplayer it has the potential to be (Or at least that I would like to see it be) .

Fingers crossed.
