12. That's an interesting question, The thing is, People tend to follow successful ideas, Not theoretical ideas. So, It has to be applied successfully on a small scale in order to prove its worth and then expand it.

How else would you suggest we get to know who's lying?

 

The name lie detector test is a misnomer. They don't really detect when people are lying.

 

What they detect are sweating, heartbeat/pulse, and blood pressure which are theoretically supposed to indicate when someone is lying.

 

(Un)Fortunately, the test is easy to fool/manipulate because people that are good at lying won't be picked up by the machine.

 

Psychological tests on the other hand have numerous safeguards to stop a person from lying (except for the Myers-Briggs personality test - which I despise for it). Most decent tests will ask the same questions repeatedly, but phrase them differently. This will either make the person give a useful answer, or allow the researcher to easily know which participant is screwing with the test.

Seriously -- I've had this one poor sod on Youtube tell me that I'd be dishonoring my family if I didn't set fire to myself.  

 

Fortunately, it affected me for about five minutes. You know why? I decided to do something about it instead of crying on the internet. UNfortunately, this was on Youtube. The best I could do is write a report. After it being banned or whatever they do, he also earned the shunning of the entire comment section. 

These idiots can also be called trolls. For them, saying something like this is completely natural. Wanna ''tackle'' them? Touch them where it hurts. Talk about their poor self-esteem. 

Remember, if you get negative from them after talking about how sad they really are you have succeeded. 

 

I think we are only being bullied when we want to. Doing nothing about it is what weaklings do. You have to say enough. This is of course, for offline bullying. Because online bullying is so easy to ''tackle''. Ignoring, reporting, sending a hitman after the bastard who did it, taking their family as hostage, blackmailing, murder and smashing everything in sight always works.
