Trying to complete my banners collection, have 19/22. Found all 11 banners (sided with mages) and confered the list to check all toppers/crowns acessible in the maps, without sucess, Is possible something bugged and I not receive the 3 ones from the chantry garden, mage's tower and capturing 3 keeps?

Just off the top of my head my first question would be have you followed all the videos including picking up BOTH Dwarven Banners and BOTH Dwarven Banner Crowns as there are 2 of each...?

I know for sure you can wind up in a situation where you have 21/22 from the collection, this would happen if you chose not to build the Chantry Garden as there is NOT a 3rd duplicate banner floating around to help fill in that spot.  (At least not one I have been able to track down, or one anyone else has been able to prove the existence of.)  This is similar to the Patron of the Arts collection quest where there are actually 21 songs in the collection, but there are 22 possible songs that you can get. However, you can get yourself in a situation based on the decisions you make in the game where you're only ever able to collect 20 of the 21.  Unless there is some mystery song out there that no one has ever seen, but at this point with this many people poking around that seems doubtful.

So to your actual question... To be honest, anything is possible when it comes to bugs with the game right now.  I am not sure what is going on with their development team (Not that someone like me would be in "the know").  There hasn't been release in at least a month now.  I personally haven't seen any game breaking bugs, so good on them for getting it to that point, but I would think that after the release and the big patch then the mini patch, we would have seen something from them.

If nothing else I would have expected something saying, the game is stable, we know there are still some bugs to be worked out, it's been a long time since anyone has had some real time off so we're going to be taking a break over the holidays, but look for another patch to hit before the end of January...?  Seems reasonable to me, but we haven't heard sh*t so who the f*ck knows what they are doing.

The level of communication that the big studios engage in with the community at large is woefully inadequate and frankly just plain disappointing. Especially when you have a loyal fan base that is this large in a game like this.

I wish I had a better answer for you, but if you have followed the videos and gotten all of the the banners that are out and about in the world, something else must be off.   Sorry brother.  If I could fix it for you I would.

The more i watch this joke, the more its starting to resemble a 'trolling' by Bioware.

I mean come on, what Developer would leave the entire crowd searching for nearly two months,

without informing them that it's being investigated?

It's almost assuredly being worked on, but there are a lot of PR issues with saying that it is. It's easy enough to say that they're looking into it, but then there expectation is there that it will get fixed. If it doesn't get fixed, then the blame gets worse, even if they discover that they can't fix it for whatever reason. While I understand the frustration (and have quite a lot of it myself), it actually makes a lot of sense for BioWare to pull back a little and refuse to comment at all until they have a surefire fix in the works or get it fully patched. They also can't say that they're going to fix every issue the game has because they'd spend so much time doing so that they'd never put out another game. Also consider that many of their programmers and artists have now very likely moved over to MENext development and/or have taken time off for the holidays (like everyone else with a 9-5 desk job).

There's probably going to be a patch before the end of January, but I wouldn't hold out hope for an announcement until they've got it pretty much where they want it.

Quick, thanks for the videos, I'll get them attached properly.

Well, wasn't sure if someone was following virtus753's original thread, but the song lyrics for Patron of the Arts collection were completed some time ago.

The list in order of codex entry in the Tales section:

1. "Empress of Fire" - Any bard after Haven
2. "Enchanters" - Any bard after Haven
3. "I Am The One" - Any bard after Haven
4. "Maker" -Any bard after Haven
5. "Nightingale's Eyes" - Any bard after Haven
6. "Oh, Grey Warden" - Any bard after completing here lies the Abyss
7. "Once We Were" - Any bard after Haven
8. "Rise" - Any bard after Haven
9. "Samson's Tale" - Can be purchased from the Val Royeaux codex vendor after Champions of the Just or In Hushed Whispers (some have reported that it can be found in Redcliffe Castle during In Hushed Whispers, unconfirmed as of yet).
10. "Sera Was Never" - Any bard after acquiring Sera
11. Tales #19 Andraste's Mabari - On a note tacked to a wooden fence, right next to the tavern in Haven
12. Tales #56 Hero in Every Port (Ballad of Nuggins) - In the house next to the Gull and Lantern tavern in Redcliffe
13. Tales #79 She of the Highwaymen Repents - Val Royeaux, tacked to the gallows in the West end of the market.
14. Tales #80 Shred of Blue - Hargrave Keep in the Fallow Mire, in the treasure room with the Warden artifact (Map: the yellow dot).
15. Tales #81 Skyhold Garden - Obtained after upgrading the Skyhold garden to the Herb Garden.  It can be obtained from the codex vendor if the Chantry Garden was chosen instead (both have codex entries that can be bought after the upgrade, but only the Herb Garden codex counts for the song lyrics).
16. Tales #86 Take Back the Sky: A Tavern Cheer - acquired from Maryden, your tavern bard after finding Skyhold
17. Tales #98 The Girl in Red Crossing - Chateau d'Onterre, one of the books on a pedestal in the library.
18. Tales #109 The Silver Knight - Found after discovering all of the Firewater Garden landmarks in Emerald Graves, as well as the coresponding note referencing the Silver Knights in the Exalted Plains (Video: courtesy of MrCodeslinger).  Keep in mind this may bug out if not done in a particular order.
19. Tales #113 The Storm Coast's Claim - On a hill overlooking a river in the Storm Coast, just south of where it meets the ocean (Map: the yellow dot).
20. Tales #115 - The Three Little Empresses - Located on a note pinned to a triple bunk bed in the Val Royeaux furniture store (where the drapery is sold)
21. Charger's Song (Unmarked in codex?) - Obtained at the end of the "Meet the Chargers" cutscene after talking with The Iron Bull in Skyhold.

Decide to check manually my banners and discovered I wasn't missing 3 crowns, but 1 crown (Inquisition) and 2 banners (Andrastian Chantry and Orlesian). The Andrastrian Chantry banner I was able to find following the indications of this topic, but the Orlesian one now is lost for this playthrough and the Inquisition crown bugged here (I captured all 3 keeps, even has the achievement). Well, another incomplete collection to me; I'm missing not only the 2 ones which are affecting everyone (the Hinterlands mosaic and Nursery Seeds) but Exalted Plains regions too and now the banners one.

Hope they configure that vendor in Val Royeaux to sell more type of missable collectibles, not only codex entries

The bug related to not getting the Inquisition Banner Crown for capturing all 3 has definitely come up in the forum before and out on the YouTube channel where these videos are from.  I bore witness to this in person last weekend.  The fix was to reload a save before the keep capture occurred and to do it again.  That fixed it.  May want to keep that in the back of your mind for your next playthrough as far as good times to save go.

Glad you found the Chantry Banner.

Orlesian one.... yeah, that one is VERY easy to miss.  Sad thing is the Orlesian banner/crown combo is one of the nicer ones IMO, so hiding it like that kinda sucks.

Yep, I hope Bioware fix soon those bugs, guess I only will start a new playthrough after that.

And your videos helped a lot too, I was able to find the elusives Grey Warden and Tevinter crowns with them, and discovered I managed to miss the Fereldan one too (I found that hut, but for some reason don't saw the chest with the crown...)

(Alright we're good now Dark.)

I've put together my known list of Songs for the Patron of the Arts collection that will allow you to get all 21 that you need in order to complete the collection.

There are 22 possible songs that I have documented.  This is due to the fact that based on decisions you make in game related to siding with the Mages or Templars and whether to upgrade the Skyhold Garden to a Chantry Garden or an Herb Garden, you may not have item numbers 21 or 22 available to you.  At this point, it is entirely possible that you will not be able to get all 21 songs necessary to complete the collection if you side with the Templars and decide to also build the Chantry Garden.

This is similar to how the Banners collection works.  At this point, with this collection, you will always be at 21 of 22 banners if you decide to build the Herb Garden instead of the Chantry Garden.  So there is a trade-off between the collections.  You either get the additional song that you may or may not need from building the Herb Garden, or you get the Andrastian Chantry Banner Crown from building the Chantry Garden and miss out on the song.

This is ALL explained in detail in the videos for items number 21 and 22 so you can see for yourself how it works and make an educated decision on how to proceed.

As usual, this has all been verified, this isn't me telling you how I think it works or songs I think are in the collection.  This is how it all works and these are the songs in the collection.

If someone finds another song, that is actually in the collection, please let me know and I will verify it. If it really is part of the collection I will get a video put together for it and get it added to the list.

I really hope this helps out.

01. [Video] - Once We Were - Codex Entry: Tale #7
02. [Video] - Enchanters - Codex Entry: Tale #2 - [Same Video as 01]
03. [Video] - The Rise - Codex Entry: Tale #8 - [Same Video as 01]
04. [Video] - Empress of Fire - Codex Entry: Tale #1 - [Same Video as 01]
05. [Video] - I Am The One - Codex Entry: Tale #3 - [Same Video as 01]
06. [Video] - Maker - Codex Entry: Tale #4 - [Same Video as 01]
07. [Video] - Nightingale Eyes - Codex Entry: Tale #5 - [Same Video as 01]
08. [Video] - Andraste's Mabari - Codex Entry: Tale #19
09. [Video] - She Of The Highwaymen Repents - Codex Entry: Tale #79
10. [Video] - Sera Was Never - Codex Entry: Tale #10
11. [Video] - Hero In Every Port (Ballad Of Nuggins) - Codex Entry: Tale #56
12. [Video] - The Silver Knight - Codex Entry: Tale #109
13. [Video] - Take Back the Sky: A Tavern Cheer - Codex Entry: Tale #86
14. [Video] - The Storm Coast's Claim - Codex Entry: Tale #113
15. [Video] - Saga of Tyrdda Bright-Axe, Avvar Mother - Codex Entry: Tale #76
16. [Video] - Three Little Empresses - Codex Entry: Tale #115
17. [Video] - The Girl in Red Crossing - Codex Entry: Tale #98
18. [Video] - Oh, Grey Warden - Codex Entry: Tale #6
19. [Video] - Shred of Blue - Codex Entry: Tale #80
20. [Video] - Bull's Chargers Song - Codex Entry: Tale # N/A
21. [Video] - Samson's Tale - Codex Entry: Tale #9
22. [Video] - Skyhold Garden - Codex Entry: Tale #81

This one is definitely NOT part of the collection.  However, since it is included in another list on the forum as being part of the collection I thought it was important to demonstrate that it is not. This way no one would get confused as to what is in the collection and what isn't.
23. [Video] - The Dawn Will Come - Codex Entry: Tale # N/A

Just something I would like to point out regarding the songs... You can obtain nine or ten of them just by exiting and re-entering the tavern in Haven a few times. No need to wait until after Haven.

I'm guessing you didn't watch the first video before you made your comment....?

Yeah, however you came by that information... I would stop using it as a reference, because it is inaccurate.

There are only 7 tavern songs that can be obtained in any tavern, including Haven, at any time w/o doing anything to trigger them, as the first video illustrates.  The rest require you to take some specific steps before you can obtain them whether through looting or listening.

Hope this helps clear up any misinformation you might have come across.

My remark was mostly aimed at OvaltinePirate. I was posting from my phone, so couldn't quote him. And the number was just an estimate since I couldn't remember the exact number of songs I obtained in Haven. But I'll stop trying to be helpful, since people always seem to nitpick every time I do.

Please not that Freed Are Slaves is  bugged. The mosiac set is missing one piece even though the counter will show 12/12. No codex entry for this piece will be available.

I'm sure you're getting this from your own playthroughs, but I will say that I've never had that problem. I've completed Freed Are Slaves in both of my previous playthroughs and turned them in to receive the codex entry with no problems. This is not to say that you're dead wrong, just that it's not set in stone. Plenty of people have been able to finish this.

Quick, you're the best. I'll get those in soon and/or link to your post because I may be out of room.

Most likely. The dwarf said he wrote something for it but nothing showed up and that set on the wall is missing one. *shrug* I don't think it actually matters since I'm unlikely to get the full list of codex. I'm just glad it's minor bugs, not big ones that stall the game completely.

I had this problem with Archdemon, myself. 12/12 pieces, but one was missing on the wall. :(

Well sh*t Pery that wasn't me taking a shot at ya. I think I've only ever really blown one or two people up in a forum thread, and that was only after they really took something too far.  Please don't take it that way as it was absolutely NOT my intention.  I would never discourage active discussion on a topic.

That was more my own frustration with the fact that the amount of bad information being sold to players as fact about things is varied and vast at the moment.  Felt like you'd seen something like that out there and that's where you were coming from.   IMO wiki's and "official" list type forum threads that people start should be accurate not just random f*cking conjecture that they pulled out of their a*s and have decided to show off to everyone else so that half the community gets sold down the river on completely bad and horribly incorrect information.

It's one thing to say "Hey I'm trying to put together a list of.... and I'm hoping I can get some help vetting it" and then updating it as the poster and the respondents work out the kinks and fill in the blanks.  It's another to just say "here's the official list" and have it just be garbage.

I really do apologize if my initial response to you came across the wrong way.  (Inflection... hard to judge in text messages, emails and forum posts.) :)

Sister, actually, but I'll take what I can get.

Again, now that this list is mostly done, I'll ask for any collection requests or additional information people want to throw out. Now that the original post's run out of room, I'll have to link to new posts for relevant info, but if there are things like regions or landmarks that people consistently want to add, I'll see what I can do.

Thanks for that, DragonRacer. I'm just glad I can help people. There's so much incomplete or incorrect information out there. I figured putting it all in an understandable, comprehensive format would help fix that problem. Really, most of the work was Quick's after the OP. I just ended up being the compiler.
