Nor should it be expected to be, IMO.

I split my online play time between Heroes of the Storm, Hearthstone, DA:I MP and whatever RPG/ARPG suits my fancy at the time. So, at least for me, DA:I MP isn't that bad of a game. But then again, I don't expect it to be AAA.

It's a mini game to me. Much like a Facebook game or mobile game is. An occasional diversion. Something to play here or there but not devote ones entire spare time on. It seems to me so many gripes stem from people who seem to expect MP to be on par with dedicated co-ops like Warframe (which I totally recommend btw).

Perhaps if one would accept DA:I MP for what it is instead of what one WANTS it to be then the forums would be a happier place?

I dunno, that's just my take on the matter.

Feel free to rage.

I'm surprised they didn't just make a 4-player co-op using the singleplayer campaign. Alot of folks would get the game for that.

But I guess they decided that current system with microtransactions works better

Part of it is the expectations people came into DAMP with based on their experience with ME3MP. It's like people just can't stop and realize "these are two totally different games and maybe I just like ME3 better." Then there's this weird distorted rose tinted nostalgic memory of how ME3MP launched

It is most definitely not.  You're right OP.

If you told me it was made by an indy company and was pay to play I would believe it in a second.

Actually I believe that now.  I think the Bioware/EA logos are just piracy.

I will repeat myself but I would accept it if I was told which I was not.

These forums would go f'n nuclear in about ten seconds after they announced co-op multiplayer throughout the main game.

I would absolutely love it... but a lot of the people around here would be out for blood. They are convinced that it would ruin the franchise... and would blame it for anything that they saw wrong with the game.

By definition it is triple A, as it is part of DAI which is a triple A game. Regardless, there's a vast plethora [and I mean VAST] of non triple A titles that function significantly better than DAIMP. Your wrong by technicality, I'm afraid. Even if you were correct in regards to it somehow not being part of the actual game and missing the triple A title, you'd still be incorrect as that assumes its standard for non triple A titles to be this buggy, which it isn't.

Also, the game was originally developed as a multi-player game, not a single-player one. It then makes even less sense to downplay the multi-player aspect. Especially considering it was hyped up pre-release.

There really isn't any excuse for how its turned out, actually. Considering it's so simple - as you allude to - there's no justification for a tiny multi-player being buggier than the entire SP campaign or entire games in general for that matter.

I will never understand apologists. By your own logic one could view the multi-player as even worse, since by your logic it was only supposed to be a minor part of the game yet is buggier than the entire SP. It certainly provides a distraction, but not the right kind.
