In the Western Approach, there is a Venatori camp where you can find a transcript of a speech of a Magíster named Leviculix Porenni where he attempts to justify Tevinter expansionism and says "What was once not under the wisdom of the True Divine?".

However, the very First Divine was an Orlesian one and only after the Schism was a Black Divine elected in Tevinter. Meaning, that at the time when the Imperium stretched to Ferelden, there was no Tevinter Divine.

So, when he says "what was once not under the True Divine", the answer would be everything because the Black Divine was only ever recognized within Tevinter.

So, either this Magíster is an idiot or the writers made a mistake.

Maybe he believes that the black divine came first not the white divine. but of course all letters IG are 100% factual, it isn't like people are delusional, misinformed or have their own persepctives and ideas.

Or he could just be using false arguments to sway the audience.

Better that than be reminded they worshipped the Archdemons once.

Take almost all the codex entries of a historical nature with a certain grain of salt.  They're all written from someone's certain "point of view".

Like Obi Wan saying Vadar killed Luke's father in Star Wars and defending the use of those words as being true, "from a certain point of view".

It's looking like everyone has snippets of truth, but no one has the whole truth.

I'm not sure about the context, but could 'True Divine' be referring to Corypheus?

Here's a way of looking at it. Jewish and Muslim people don't see Jesus Christ as the chosen one sent by God.  According to Jewish people, the chosen one hasn't arrived yet. According the Muslim people, it's a different person entirely that came later.

So it's probably just a Tevinter magister with a different viewpoint on the events of the religious world.

Even today in our world, there is literally nothing that isn't written from a biased point of view.

Pretty sure Tevinter is not above propaganda and the rewriting of history.
