I finished the game a coupla days back on my KE mage. By the end, between the number of passives I could get, the Guard on hit, and the shield on hit, I was pretty invincible. 

 

My inq was male and romanced Josi....which was alright....kinda lackluster towards the end!

 

My thoughts for options are: 

 

Another male Inq, 2h Templar warrior who romances Cass

Female Inq, archer (spec is up for debate here, though im thinking assassin or artificer, haven't figured out which is best for archer), who romances....probably Sera? If it were an elf I'd go Solas.

 

What do you guys think? In terms of getting the widest scope of gameplay and story experience.

It is really up to you. My only full playthrough thus far was a Qunari Rift Mage, romanced Cassandra (kinda boring choice I must say). During combats I had a blast, I even thought Rift Mage had to be the most exciting class to play, until I met the Artificer... Seriously, I am playing a female elf Archer Artificer and I am loving it so much that I am considering playing a Dwarf Artificer (or maybe Assassin...) next. Those mines, those traps and that freaking fast cooldown are crazy addictive.
I also played a Tempest on my first run, got to level 17, but stopped afterwards. It was fun too (but not like the Artificer  ).

I actually tell myself that I should play a Warrior next, but man, once you go Rogue, it is hard to play other classes.
