These type of events are pretty bad, if you get RNG screwed.Or do it a boring way and farm routine.

 

 

 Surely something better could be done with these events??

Agreed. A work-around however is to play routine solo, which I did because my axe was terrible. That makes it somewhat possible and quick to do.

Yup! But it only takes around 40 minutes for both, if that, so it's up to you to decide if that's worth it. It's a shame that's how it is, but it's abit late to change now.

There's plenty of problems with the game, but the request of this weekend event isn't one of them.  It's probably the easiest event they could have come up with.  You can complete each challenge in one match, solo, on routine.

 

The strength of the weapon is irrelevant in that case, all you need to be is high enough level and with a not terrible build.  Took my 16 legonairre and solo'd one round of routine with a 1h axe, completed that challenge.

 

Going to take my arcane warrior (level 1) and do the same.

 

What are you having trouble with exactly?

really OP?  you really think this is that hard to do?   im more annoyed at the constant lack of being able to go forward in matches because of the key glitch. Its been out of control today

I never said it was too hard. That isn't mentioned anywhere. I said it's terrible. It's just a poor way to do it without going back to difficulties you find boring unless you happen to have a good weapon that is chosen for the "event."

 

 It's still uninspired and uninteresting.

RNG. You could buy 2 and get one, or it could take 15.

Would have been nice if they had at least furnished people with a baseline axe or something.

Or he salvaged all his axes because he had a better sword or mace?  The guy you are responding to may appear to be new, but I was lucky myself that it wasn't a sword or mace that I needed.  I have a level 20 common axe, so no problem.  But I've yet to find a sword/mace above level 10.  Plenty of 2-handers, bows, daggers, and staves, but not swords or maces.

Got the staff kills finished, then i played a game with my Katari thinking battleaxes would count...I mean it is an axe right? But no, it doesn't. *sigh* now i have to hope RNGesus graces me with an 1 handed Axe. The Event is fine really..but honestly next time you say kill enemies with swords or something, please also make it so 2h weapons count.

I have a feeling that the reason for this 1-handed warrior / staff challenge was to try to encourage people to play outside the DPS-focused Rogue, 2-handed warrior, AW teams that seem to make up a large number of lobbies. They should have included a rogue equivalent, but both Archers and Dual-Wielders are well represented already. Just a hunch...

I just got done trying to do a run for the axe, least favorite of the classes. My biggest complaint is that door 3 glitched on me and wouldn't open so I had to exit to lobby and guess what, NO progress towards event. That needs to be f****** fixed.

It is terrible even if you have good weapons. The "weekend" event was over for me in two games. I wish you could at least complete it multiple times.

The chests wern't really worth it either. Basically just free large chests.

Um I've opened 5 chests by now, no axe.

 

I keep getting bows, though... Considering the only Unique weapon I've got is a bow, I suspect the game is doing it deliberately.

Talk about lazy.. you can get this weekly done with a basic grey axe or staff.. just play in routine.

If it were only that. I still haven't found a single axe I can use and I've opened 5 Large and 1 Medium chest.

 

I wish you could just craft one, even if it's a basic one. It could be like a temporary recipe that's granted to everyone during the weekend.

Yeeeaaah, I'm just soloing it. Did just a few matches with my keeper and unlocked the chest. Got a unique staff, but it was only level 9 so pbbt. The rare one I got with it was much better... if I can find a superb rune for it.

 

I don't have a problem with axes. Seems like every other chest I get, no matter if it's small, medium or large or even in game, it's gonna have a barbarian battleaxe in it. 

 

My bad, didn't know it was single handed. Well, good luck to you guys. Hope you get'er done.

Was pretty easy to do for me, i do have a good stave and good axes however,  They have to start somewhere with these challenges, they started off simple.
