Crap...24 hours and still no bloody axe drop...had loads drop before the event but of course I salvaged them....I would have thought the commendation chest for doing the staves would drop an axe but all I got was three more useless staves

Well my Dwarven War AXE gives me "maul" kills, so.. Yeah. Something glitchy going on. Also a number of maul kills that was more than I actually got playing my legionaire.

at this point I am saving one of each weapon, even if they suck, simply to ensure I can complete weekend challenges.

I couldn't complete the challenge because i didn't get the item dropped, Axe mastery was not a challenge but a Lottery.

Well many (like me) enjoy playing History More first before, i had the game preordered, i haven't stopped playing a single day (like 4 hours daily) since the start, but only entered Multiplayer for the Event, and for that reason we only had 2-3 days to get the Axe dropped, i spent 2 days farming to buy chest and nothing not a single drop.

 

If you will invite people to dinner, make sure there are chairs for everyone or else then don't do it.

I dont think there's an issue here. If you cant complete the quest because you dont have the requred decent weapon, to bad - try again next time. Besides, I helped a friend start up over the weekend, and before the weekend was over he had easily completed both challenges. And thats someone who just started.

Anyway, chests werent anything special. As far as I remember they were just the same as a normal chest.

This should also teach people to keep the best of every category of weapons. Lucky for me I've done that since the beginning.

Those of us that dealt with the RNG gods and had to deal with the Valkyrie challenge take little pity on your axing of questions. Plus, it's a random loot commendation chest. It's not a super big deal.

Heh, I know feeling. After buying about 30 some chests however, The game decided to finally give me an axe.

They should pop up as info screen when entering MP. Or you can check the challenges if there are any unfinished businesses.

Alone, that wouldn't make much difference. I have a 2-handed axe, but I still can't complete that part of the challenge.

You can craft unlock classes in DAMP so you can probably unlock a 2 h warrior by the end of Sunday

Or have a friend help you out. I roll on my Legionaire, tanking all the enemies, but not killing any. I let my friends pick them off until they complete their events.

 

But yes, having the right items is how I soloed these events.

The events will likely continue to mimic the different challenges already established.

Weapon Mastery, Class Mastery and so on.

 

At some point, I'm sure we will get kill x with a Legionnaire...

 

Then imagine the whining when the event lists a character not everyone has...

I was fortunate to run into a PUG group a few nights ago that binged several Perilous matches with me... To add to my fortuitous night, I got Fury of the Veil, Slayer, and Agony from the chests I bought.
 
I am just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Nothing but level 1-10 commons for the next month, here I come!

Nice pulls, I feel like most of my good gear came in clusters like that.

I was able to get my 100 2 handed axe on threating with a 70 dps common.. took about 4 to 5 runs.  On routine it would of been even faster.

My gf did it with a level 2 greataxe on routine in 3 games. She just started played this weekend. These challenges are easy.

After the 1st challenge there really is no excuse for not having a weapon that you can use.
