Okay so if you're looking for a way to keep your party's health up without using too many potions I have a solution.

I can't remember the name, I'm bad with names, sue me. But when you take the keep in Crestwood your next goal should simply be to carry on towards the dam, I think the game even places you in front of the door leading to that area. BUT go right instead and you'll find a room with a mosaic piece and a loot prompt. But if you also head down the ladder in the room and into the small cave system you'll fight a unique Giant Spider called Snowball, kill her and she'll drop a recipe for a Healing Mist grenade. (She drops this every single time along with a random valuable.)

This grenade does wonder in certain combat situations, if you're fighting a dragon and it takes flight to circle around the area group all of your party members together and use one to heal everyone with one shot instead of wasting potions. Also if you're facing a lot of enemies have your heavy hitter take the front lines and keep him or her there for a while, if they start to take serious damage drop a healing grenade to keep them going.

Well that's all.

That is the only grenade I never got. Will keep this in mind for future play-throughs. I suppose I can get it on my main now too.

Thanks!

Now if only Bioware's QA could actually fix the grenade bug...

There's also heal on kill(and similar) stats you can add to weapons so that after each battle you regain health. It really helps your squishy characters with all the tedious trash mobs and fetch questing (you don't have to keep going back for potions).
