Getting specific weapons seems fruitless with the RNG.

However, when there is a release of new DLC characters I could see a surge of Platinum purchase to get the components to open up new classes.

 

(or some will have saved up a good bit of gold)

 

I have yet to Purchase Platinum, though I don't rule it out.

Until I have unlocked all 12 characters (I have 6) the temptation remains.

Dont buy platinum, its not worth it. Im sitting on 250-300 crafting materials, EACH. even the tier 2-3 ones. Around 70-80 of each rare t3. Unless they become usefull i wouldnt recommend spending money on platinum unless you can really afford it. Students? A big no no. Dont waste **** on this game.

Actually spending real cash for vendor salvage mats in the effort to unlock characters is probably the smartest way to use real money if you don't want to grind. It's when you're spending real cash in the hope of quality gear that it becomes a bad investment.

So to clarify SofaJockey, if you're only interested in unlocking characters and you're not playing that often then the cash store might actually help you. Be warned though that CLOTH salvage is the rarest and thus Mage classes take a while to unlock.

I know people who spent WAY more in WOW (renaming and moving characters - not to mention buying gold - back in the day - now that at least DID effect the community).

This spins me out because it happened to my brother using his credit card. Look i will be the first to say spending money on the game is good really it supports the mp. Alot of people forgot that me3mp was supported and kept the dlcs pumping because of the support also the dlcs were free. Also nothing better man than buying tonnes of chest at once. Was it worth it well only you can decide for me i have alot of spare cash so yes. Plus i love this game and now i can almost solo threating on a level 8.

I find this rather amusing, had a buddy do something similar. Tho he only spent 50$, and got nothing of any worth. Me however ive simply played the game (445 hours now and only about 30 of that is single player, gave up on it due to war table and cut scene crashes) and have literally every unique except the shields mage hunter, and the emperor. Sitting at around 375 prestige and ill say thats simply a sadness meter, it means NOTHING but but shows how little life I and others have, it doesnt impact your loot quality. Ive saved up 20-30k on several occasions and bought chest after chest and never seen items over level 8-9.

1)  Everyone in this world is entitled to spend their disposable income on what they wish and I can guarantee you that each of us spends cash on things someone else would look at as foolish.  Spending $400 on clothes?  Ridiculous!  $400 on a new bike?  Insane!  $400 on new dishes?  Crazy!

 

2) If the person did indeed spend that kind of money and can afford it I thank him very much.  Without people spending money there is no 'free mp' at all.  Anyone blasting a person for spending real cash while not paying anything themselves is a flat out short sighted, entitled dope.

Do I have to say more than that really? $400 got me a fury of the veil and a superb ring of life-drain. Sure, dont get me wrong, the ring makes me pretty much immortal and the staff is a pure beast. But i'd expect atleast one unique weapon when an amount of $400 is spent. So if you ever consider doing the same, just dont.

Um, likley the opposite actually... You see in the new modern work of "metrics and management" they should fix NOTHING because profits are at an all time high with people spending like this.

 

Want the game fixed?  No one buy ANYTHING until a decent patch is released (think boycott), then aftera  successful patch purchase and show yer support.  If management sees the money go to 0 "something" will change...  Gibe them a metric to wake up and fix the game.

 

As of now yer supporting shite with your dollars.  I have some xtra shite I'd like to sell, anyone wanna buy a cartload of shite?

About 600k and no Griffon or Fury.

If people would not spend real money the MP would not exist, would it?

But only a Fury and a superb ring of life-drain for 400$ is not ok. moyes should get all the good stuff for that amount of money.

And I should have the Griffon already for 600k.
