Saw this video and just had to post it; this guy clearly doesn't know what he's talking about.
Gaming is a sport and therefore gamers are athletes. He's probably just jealous that people care more about gaming as sports than his stupid football, hockey or whatever stupid jock sport he's into. Cyber sports are the sports of the future and will likely be at the Olympics soon, the people who play them are absolutely athletes. Some people just can't embrace the future since they suck at games.
LOL at this guy claiming gamers aren't athletes.

This is ancient we all know this video.
And no gamers aren't atheltes, gaming is not a sport. Go outside and play some football or basketball.
Wrong, gaming takes skill so the people who play it are athletes just like Chess and Nascar.

They've been either athletes, or recently become one or their body will be screwed up soon.
You cannot just play games and remain healthy.

Even the Houston Rockets GM agrees that gamers are professional athletes. They should be in the Olympics.

I'll confess, the guy in the video is my older brother. I hate how he posts this crap on my youtube account and I'm not going to refrain from calling him out on his BS just because he's related tome.

I don't see any contradictions, I had stated before I share a youtube account with my older brother. Maybe I was a bit deceptive in disclosing who he was when I first posted the video but I wanted people to judge the video without having any biases knowing he was linked to me.

Games are similar both to chess (they require calculation skills) and musical competitions (they require advanced fine motor skills, like instrument playing).

If it's a YooToob video, it's 90% likely that the person has no idea what they are talking about.
(This includes my YooToob channel.)

Motor racing is actually one of the most physical demanding sports. People get the wrong idea about NASCAR all the time. It might seem easy to those who are not familiar to NASCAR, but it is definitely more challenging and even more unpredictable than most motorsports. Driving at 200 MPH for hundreds of miles with only inches apart from others, knowing someone can ram you at any time and sending yourself to your death if you lose a moment of concentration is a lot more physical demanding than chess or video games. Not to mention the heat, noise, and the constant g-force.
Anyway, most gamers are not athletes, but you can train them to become athletes.

I agree, being able to operate a race car isn't easy when you have to resist all the g-force. That takes strength and endurance.

Doesn't matter. These parallel troll threads are still hilarious. 5 stars!
