I can't import world state from DA Keep. The website shows that my state of the world has been exported to the DA Inquisition, but in the DA when creating a new game I can only play on the default state of the world. Any ideas?

Most likely culprit is that you have the wrong Origins account linked. See if going through the setup section in this guide helps at all.

What kind of nonsense is this exporting and importing anyway. This is a total BS. We should be able to download the world state and then manually move them to save folder or something like that. 

And the fact that this is an online app sucks. I hope they stop doing it. It really bothers everyone.

And the most ridiculous thing is the default world state that DAI use. It really really really really sucks.

Please do something about it those brilliant minds who thought of creating a crap app like this in the first place.

Are you sure you asked it to use a custom worldstate? Thats when it will check

Don't get me wrong this app is a good idea. But the fact that it's online and it sync itself with the game (again online) is something out of necessity.

I hope they produce an offline software doing the same thing. This is not helping anyone.

I have problem too, i can use only default world state. When I played for the first time, everything was fine, but now DA:I sends my save  to keep but I can't import world state from keep. The website shows that my world state has been exported of course.

I can't import my custom world state, either.

 

According to The keep, it has been exported to DA:I, but according to DA:I, no custom world state exists.

 

All of my accounts are correctly linked, and I do not have multiple Origin accounts.

You have to put in the world state manually...that is working as intended. They do not have an import mechanism. However, you can do it quickly using this painless guide:
