tell me what/who you love to listen to :)

i´ll start: i really love metal, especially Death, Black, Thrash and Symphonic, but also punk/punkrock; my favourite bands are Behemoth, Kreator, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Vesania, Vader, Death Angel, Sirenia and Die Ärzte.


(i hope i havent forgotten too many genres :ph34r:)

Rock and metal.

 

Actually I consider gothic part of rock and metal but I voted for it as well.

Only music I like is video game music, megadeath, and Pantera.  The music I hate the most is rap, I think people just listen to it so they can look like "playas" because day be inta da clubbin' scene yo!

Far too many kinds to list.

 

Generally, not a fan of popular music (though there are plenty of exceptions.)

 

I think I'd say that I'm particularly fond of folk music, by which I mean virtually every kind of folk music around the world (I even include country and blues in this category.)

 

I believe that 90% of everything is crap. The more popular a form of music is, the more of the 90% crap is going to get snapped up, marketed, and sold to the public. The less popular it is, the more anyone trying to make it is going to require real talent, or no music company will waste their money marketing them. This explains the disparity between, say, jazz music and dance music.

 

Edit: I didn't notice the poll, at first. Most of the kinds of music that I like aren't even listed in the poll. Where's Calypso? WHERE'S MY BELOVED HARRY BELAFONTE!?!?!?!?!?

I like just about everything other than really screamy metal. That being said, I've really fallen in love recently with electric swing and retro versions of pop songs.

Virtually everything, but it tends to boil down to...

Metal:A good amount of electronic, Trance Music would be my most favored. Classical Music is a big one, too. Erik Satie, Bach, bits and pieces here and there.

lol OP still think "techno" is a thing.  C'mon man it's considered EDM now or just lump them all together into Electronic/Electronica.  There are just WAY to many genres and subgenres.  Techno was back in like the early 90's when Prodigy was at the top of the world.  My faves currently being Melbourne Bounce, Electro House, Synthwave, Neurofunk and Drum & Bass.

 

Also where in the list is the option for Video Game/Soundtrack and Classical?

God, death metal is so bad. It makes me laugh actually when I hear it because the vocals are just so ridiculous and comical to me. Maybe that's the point?

I heard this the other day and I actually busted out laughing when the vocalist started in. Terrible cover of a great song.
