It definitely varies. Some days I love listening to the spacey-futuristic-dystopian sounds of Muse's Citizen Erased, sometimes I lend an ear for eerie guitar 'cords of Radiohead's Street Spirit and sometimes I can also sit back and be embraced by a session of tranquilty from the likes Pink Floyd's Shine on You Crazy Diamond or Queen's bombastic rock opera that is Bohemian Rhapsody. On other days I like to listen to electronica or trip-hop names like Daft Punk, Etro Anime, Mikael Simpson, Justice, Portishead, Andrea Parker, Gorillaz -- Sometimes I also find myself listening to 1960's glam-rock sensation, David Bowie and even his more modern stuff, like his latest album after a long hiatus, which sounds like a return to his more rocky tunes ala Rebel Rebel or Ziggy Stardust.
I also find myself listening to experimental music or bands the mixes elements of blues, jazz, rock, classic tunes of Rachimanoff and even gorgeous instruments like piano into more robust songs (generally in rock again). In terms of experimental artists, I'd say I usually listen to the likes of Björk.
Occasionally I'll also listen to classic 90's grunge-distorted tunes of Nirvana, The Cranberries & My Bloody Valentine, sometimes shift further back to new-wave-synth-pop tunes of Depeche Mode & Joy Division. Occasionally I'll even listen to Johnny Cash, Led Zeppelin..
Basically, it varies. I like a lot of music, I like bands that experiments with what can be done with music and instruments, bands/artists that sound like the future, or embrace innovation. In general, I really like electronica & rock (spread across all its different sub-genres). I also love listening to soothing tunes that utilizes heavy usage of percussion tunes from say.. careful beatings on a ride cymbal, usage of electronica, and even quiet bass tunes -- or Jazz.
