Also looking for the "If you have a bow you are not a tank" skill and the "Don't knock me off that ledge" skill.
And the "No, you can't jump quite that high" skill.
Stuff like these things suggested in humor are not bugs or glitches, they are glaring design flaws which makes one wonder how on earth it was ever released with these idiosyncrasies in tact and rampant throughout the game.
It's as if the company formed a group of "yes men" who were only capable of saying "Wow! That's great!" instead of pointing out these ridiculous flaws. I'm not alone in feeling ripped off by this game. I never finished it, hated the PC KB&M controls, hated the tactics, hated only 8 slots for my mage, hated the skill and attribute assignations systems... It's as if they took everything that I really liked in the preceding two games and removed it.
I'm on a limited income and this was a big investment for me in that I probably only buy one game a year, so yeah, I'm pissed that I got taken in by slick marketing and previews that were taken out of the game. They are not going to change the PC control system, they are not going to "fix" the obtuse and skeletal story that only serves as a background to fetch quests... They can't because they designed the game that their marketing department seems to designated.

For the NPCs the Jump skill has been replaced with Stand On Every Table You See ability. On the upside, it has no cooldown.I'm still looking for the "stop walking around that fence, just jump over it" Skill.
This is more of a change but I need Iron Bull to remember that he's a 2h not a rogue so he shouldnt run off or die easily.
Or the "drop the torch and fight" skill. I was underground and noticed Dorian just standing there holding the veil torch while the rest of us were fighting for our lives. This is the same Dorian who runs into melee range and cast fire spells. Varric does the same... runs into melee range to cast his leap skill.
All simply symptoms of a poorly designed behavior models and there are loads of topics documenting and testing nearly every aspect of the models - still on Bioware's TBD list.

Oh man, Solas standing there, holding a veil torch, while the rest of us fight for our lives. How can this be a good thing? ![]()
Sadly Shardik1 is well founded in the analysis that the game is incomplete and severely bugged -its well documented, if not a bit chaotic. The character creator, your first introduction to the game, may still crash 2 of 3 attempts and we are a month into it. Just getting to the first demon with Cassandra the quest may bug, your controls may freeze, etc.
I only use previous saves at this point if someone needs a bug duplicated -just too frustrating to start a new character!
A word about modeling from a skyrim perspective. Off the shelf, Skyrim had few followers, but DLC and mods that provided followers had various degrees of "intelligence" and while some generic NPC might still stand in a lava pit and roast; most of the dedicated followers were sufficiently "aware" to move or retreat when taking damage. Some could perform complex tasks to sell items, cook, craft, hunt and "manage" their own groups. They also had a wide variety of tactical behaviors including changing attack methods for resistant enemies, stealth attacks, etc. - This is history and DAO has some features, but DA:I is not even close.
With my second playthrough, I'm encountering a frequent glitch where I can't even switch to my other party members to make them move out of fire, take potions, use tonics, or do anything useful. ![]()

There is, it's called a fully upgraded Revjenation Potion
This old chestnut from my WoW days comes to mind:
"Why are you still in the fire?"
"Was I supposed to go out of the fire? I thought I was supposed to go in the fire. Oh, wait my bad."
Edit: I figured I'd mention that I agree with the OP. The companion AI in this game can be extremely suicidal, especially on dragon fights.
I've actually said this to my monitor while playing my Cadash archer, in Vivienne's mode of speaking:
Me (getting annoyed): Solas, my dear, you are not a warrior. Why don't you come back here with Varric and I and do save yourself the trouble of dying? I'd truly appreciate that, darling.

That sucks
though it might not even help much. Whenever I tell my party members to move somewhere (like moving the squishy ones away from strong close range enemies) they don't do it and whenever I assume direct control and move them myself, they run right back to where they were as soon as I switch to a different character. Trying to manage 2 mages and Varric is like bashing my head against a wall.
I just want the blasted characters to do as they are bloody well told and hold their f**king positions!
[Hold position selected]
Blackwall.. go stand in that tiny little gap to block enemies coming up the stairs to hit the squishies, keep your shield up and kill anything that gets close.. roger that.. stands there then runs away to kill the guy at the far end of the room.. really? REALLY? *ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL*.. All I wanted was for blackwall to block the mobs so I could PotA them and Dorian could walking bomb them for the lols.. but instead the enemies ran everywhere and blackwall went to chase some vint.
someone should tell Sera she has a bow
This is something I definitely miss from the previous games, particularly DA2. In DA2 if you set a character's behavior to "Ranged," they would move the hell away from any enemy that got close to them. If the enemy chased them, they would keep running away from it. In this game, there is no way to tell your companions that they should stay out of melee range, and they won't. They'll just stand there taking a beating until they're dead or until you take direct control and do something about it.
It was very annoying, but now I'm playing as KE and I am literally invincible. It's like playing the game with a god mode cheat enabled. Nothing can kill me, so I don't even pay attention to my companions anymore. I just let them die and solo everything. It's just easier that way than trying to micro manage their every ****** action.
