So the new weekend challenge. Kill 100 enemies with staffs, Kill 100 enemies with axes.

The staff part was instantly completed... The axe part is extremely difficult apparently.

 

My legionnaire and templar use the unique level 23 unique Caliban sword. Seeing as how this was the highest level unique for the one handed weapons, I salvage everything else that comes into my inventory.

So.. I need an axe. Just any would work. I've leveled my templar from level 1 to 15 today, buying chests along the way. The game has given me 5 swords, and a mace. Note that there is no axe in there... I hope the game will be nice enough to give me an axe so i can complete this measly challenge

Doesn't help that every other match doesn't drop a key, or a shadow guy glitches out... Sigh

Good luck. Keep and eye out and make sure your joining games with the 3 different classes so you can open all treasure rooms to maximise your gold / items. You've still got time.

Hahaha, I feel for you, man. The best 1-handed weapon I have is an ax, so I managed this weeks challenge alright...now I know what to expect though and have started saving the highest level of each weapon type I come across. Best of luck on getting an ax you can use!

Yeah once you get the axe, one solo Routine will complete the challenge. You'll grab one eventually.

Same here.  I'm glad it wasn't a mace that I needed.  I don't think I've ever seen a decent one...  Hmm, think we should be saving one of each staff element as well, in case they do a "deal x amount of ice damage" so that I don't have to respec my necromancer in order to complete it?

And this ladies and gentlemen is why I keep one of every type of weapon. Not to mention my Legionnaire has a Dwarven axe that does 175 dps (blue) I did pick up a nice legion mace today level 21 purple so I also have that.. I just need to find a good sword.

I have the feeling that I'm not going to be getting 100 axe kills this weekend due to my inability to actually get an axe out of the chests.

Did it with a crappy level 12 axe in threatening with the Wrath of Heavens/ Spell purge combo in 3 full games.

Yeah, I just unlocked an axe.

It does 31 less damage than my greatsword, but I really want that commendation pack.

No there isn't.. I'm saying there should be more starter weapons, of different types other than the ones you start out with.

Yes a free pack, containing at least a basic axe would kind of make sense

Apparently I'm incredibly rare.
I kept 1 of every weapon type for challenges.
one of the best tank weapons in the game is a lvl 17 unique axe.
with a similar stat 21(?) blue mace.
my sword is the worst of the 3

Rather easy, I have a nice blue axe and just do routine with my legioneer.

 

Just go through the whole level and pull all mobs, then run around a corner to get the ranged enemies close to you and GG, next room.

Just level to 15 with templar then solo routine with heaven wrath + spell purge

Er.. Are you people missing the point? The challenge itself is incredibly easy. The problem Is I (still) don't have an axe. And my templar is level 19 now.

The dumbest advice you could give me is to get an axe. Yes. Through the RNG boxes, which I've bought dozens of, that have not given me an axe.

I've gotten 7 swords and 3 maxes now for loot now. No Axe. This is getting to be incredibly stupid at this point.

Look at it this way, even if you dont get that Axe how many large chests have you opened because of the weekend event.

I was going to suggest you could at least craft one, but no, actually you can't. We don't start with a schematic. Actually a lot of things are missing. I see 1hsword hilts, but no blade.
