I actually like Tumblr. Well, the majority of it. I only go there to see the gifs.

 

And that is the only reason I still go to the site on a daily bases tbh. Also it has some pretty cool art

 

 

Do people have to use "SJW" as a insult? yeah, is plenty of morons who go too far & actually make things worse (& they deserve getting mocked tbh) but that term is used way too much against anyone who dares even a little to speak against sexism/homophobia/any other generally shi**y thing as something bad

 

I've mostly heard the term used to describe the extremist sort of ones, so it's a bit hard for me to not think of the term in a negative way. Admittedly there are a lot of people who identify with the term that are not too bad imo so I hear what you're saying.

I agree with your point and some people use it as a blanket catch all. I don't think anyone should rally behind the term though, warrior is a pretty bad word choice for someone that really wants to strive for social justice. Because at the of the day they need to educate people not fight them. 

 

And I don't use the term personally even when I feel the label fits. There is better ways to get your point across.

Yeah I'd agree on this particular point. It's worth noting that some of these labels can be used as an excuse to justify shitty behavior against people like that.

 

It's kind of an issue of these less well defined labels usage in general.

It would help if the louder SJWs focused on actual society instead of trying to keep movies and games off the shelves. That's just a bad tactic to get people behind your movement, like anti-gun people, or people who were scared of Marylin Manson. They have a noble cause, but the tactics of the louder ones makes them look silly as a whole, which is a shame.

 

Not a huge fan of Marylin Mansons stuff but I respect the artists himself. He's clearly put a lot of thought into what he does. Too bad others don't do the same.

 

It's partially societies fault I guess for giving so much voice to the louder ones rather then the voices of reason (which often exist on both sides of any discussion and both often get ignored)
