(to Enrychan) Orsino as a boss battle is also said to have been a decision made outside of the writing team because someone wanted an additional boss battle.
Am I the only one who doesn't care for the next Mass Effect?

The Mass Effect Universe is far too rich and complex for it to die with Shepard. You have all these diverse and interesting alien races, unexplored space, and other galactic mysteries out there. There are plenty of stories left to tell.
I disagree.

That is the nice advantage of living in a rather free world with free choice what we want to play. There hundreds of other games with forums... you may leave at any time, if you think that ME is finished for you.
But obviously there are some gamer who would agree... and like to look forward for what Bioware is going to release. Me too ![]()
Btw: I can accept, that people think that a fictional product has come to its end and want to finish up with it. And I do understand that some of those feel sadness, if the fictional product was really something they like(d). But... I cannot understand people who tell they are finished... but dont leave? Whats this kind of behaviour? Masochism?

One man's story doesn't nullify every other adventure that ever was. Trillions of beings in the galaxy. Plenty of potential for any number of stories.

You know what's fun? Not talking down to people. Oh and not making hugely presumptuous statements.
I really detest a man who smiles at others while uttering words at them with a forked tongue. So two faced.

Depends on how they want to handle continuity between the trilogy and what comes next.

I love the Mass Effect series (minus the last 10 minutes of Mass Effect 3) and I loved DA:O and some parts of DA:2. I don't know where I stand on Mass Effect 4 after the release of DA:I. I know that I will not pre-order the game (which will be a first) and I will investigate the product and content (seek out honest reviews by real players) before I spend the money on it. DA: 2 and DA;I as well as ME3 have made me very discerning.

If I am honest to you, you feel the opposite. Interesting. Either you got me wrong... or... I hurt you somehow with what I explained. Again: If a fictional product has come to and end FOR YOU... why are you discussing the next product in it? It is NOT "two faced" to tell people, when you think they are on a wrong way.
What do you earn by staying at an entertainment product that you DO NOT like anymore?
Why do you want to discuss a next product in a universe that in your oppinion has to die with its main character who died in the last product of that franchise?
I had similar experiences. Its very sad. And of course I left my opinion after I noticed that the franchise was finished FOR ME. But also I moved on. I did NOT stay there. Why should I? It does not give me ANYTHING positive. And almost as important: I do NOT give anybody who stays and still likes the franchise anything positive.
It is NOT two faced - it is really, REALLY serious: Why would you stay, if ME-universe has died for you? Why dont you let it go?

The ME Universe has died for me. That much is true. But I'm not giving up. I'm going to stay and let Bioware know how I feel about it. That's my prerogative. When I said I was going to hold the line I meant it. A man is only as good as his word. Besides, There's also other Bioware games to discuss on here. I'm still praying for a Jade Empire 2 one of these days. It'll....more than likely never happen but whatever.

The Mass Effect universe is easily big enough to have not even scratched the surface of it yet. I can understand people who feel they've had enough of it for whatever reason but not anyone who would even suggest that it couldn't support much, much more.
It was pretty big. But then the ending spilled all over the galaxy. There's nowhere to go that it can't follow.

Nope, they just need to make one ending (destroy) canon and go foward from there. Not the most ideal way to deal with the endings but it's the best way to move the franchise foward since Bioware won't be able to please everyone. It was pretty big. But then the ending spilled all over the galaxy. There's nowhere to go that it can't follow.

Retconing all endings out of existence would be a better idea.
With simple explanation too. Real ending is with when Shepard had open Citadel arms, Crucible attached, Crucible fires, Reapers die( AND ONLY REAPERS) and everything else we seen was Shepard hallucinating due to massive loss of blood but in the end Shepard survives and wakes up in hosptial bed to talk about his wacky ass hallucinations.
There. No need to do anything complicated and you please most people.

Shepard is not Pamela Ewing and Bobby really is dead.

You might not care but i bet you will still buy me4 when it comes out.
I think one of the good things about me4 is a new hero and squad mates sheps trilogy is my favourite one but it is time for a new story and crew.
And i love how as soon as a company makes a 4th game in a series it is milking the franchise.

In Dallas they killed off a main character at the end of the (8th?) season (Bobby Ewing) and he was dead for the whole next season. Then, at the beginning of the season after that, he was suddenly BACK taking a (random) shower very much alive. We then find out that the ENTIRE season that had come before (when Bobby was dead) NEVER REALLY HAPPENED. It was just a (really long and intricate) DREAM that his ex wife (Pamela) had been having.
Yes this really happened in TV Land and this is what you are proposing for Mass Effect.
I almost hope it happens... almost.

Considering endings are a just plain disaster and break the themes of ME universe, yeah I do want for this to happen. It's the best I can come up with, without retconing an entire ME3.

There wouldn't be a keyboard left on Earth with functioning W, T and F keys if this were to happen.
