There wouldn't be a keyboard left on Earth with functioning W, T and F keys if this were to happen.

It would be preferable than letting the endings stay as they are.

A price I'm willing to pay.

Retconing all endings out of existence would be a better idea.

With simple explanation too. Real ending is with when Shepard had open Citadel arms, Crucible attached, Crucible fires, Reapers die( AND ONLY REAPERS) and everything else we seen was Shepard hallucinating due to massive loss of blood but in the end Shepard survives and wakes up in hosptial bed to talk about his wacky ass hallucinations.

There. No need to do anything complicated and you please most people.

Not happening, Bioware made it very clear they aren't changing anything about the ending after EC. Not to mention Bioware are sticking with their guns regarding the endings so canonising an ending (destroy) is still going to be the best option.

They'll stay as they are. 3 years have passed. Best not to dwell on it, as nothings going to change.

The Mass Effect universe is easily big enough to have not even scratched the surface of it yet. I can understand people who feel they've had enough of it for whatever reason but not anyone who would even suggest that it couldn't support much, much more.

They can do a lot of things with ME, Bioware can even give it to Dice for a ME FPS spin of, just imagine how it would be great a BF/Battlefront game with the ME skin.

  DICE?!

BF4 has been out for over a year and it still isn't finished. I don't want them going anywhere near Mass Effect unless Battlefront is finished at launch and not an unplayable broken mess for the first year after release.

Mass Effect is already an incredible 3rd-person shooter. There's no need to ruin it by turning it into yet another FPS.

I think they learned their lesson with BF4 (which is a total piece of crap).

You won't ruin anything with a spin of, Bioware will keep doing their own stuff. And no I wouldn't be just another FPS, just think about it how it would be great to have a FPS with guns, biotics or techs powers, vehicles etc.

I feel it is that, as well. I disagree with those that feel they are mutually exclusive. I thought ME struck the right balance, and ME3 found the right gameplay.

The problem is that it turned into a full-blown shooter instead of sticking with its rpg roots.

I hate FPS, primarily because they make me physically ill. I guess I can see the attraction, if you enjoy FPS. I like my detailed character models and 3rd-person perspective.

It strayed, a bit, but I don't think it was a total transformation. I'm hoping they will bring back more RP elements while maintaining great gameplay. ME has been the only series in which I've seen both. We'll see how the next game goes.

And you will have an incredible explosions based multiplayer FPS, and you will love it trust me

That's not a problem, it would be a different experience, a bonus, spin offs are here for this reason.

It was a problem for the sequels of the core series. Which is what I was saying. I'm not talking about a spin-off.

Yeah, I miss some cool stuff. I can't shake the dizziness and nausea, though, so not much choice.

I would like to see a Mass Effect RTS. Or space sim. Or first person rpg taking place solely on the Citadel presidium and the 5 wards. Not by Bioware. They stick with the core series.

Heh, this right here makes all the difference. I wouldn't be opposed so long as BioWare sticks to the basic formula that gave the series its strength.

Old El Paso girl would ask why we can't have both. However good or bad a narrative-based RPG ME3 turned out to be doesn't really have anything to do with its combat gameplay, which I feel to be the best among the three games.

Going into ME2, I agreed they are not mutually exclusive concepts.

After ME3, I'm wondering if I was wrong.

After ME3, I'm wondering if I was wrong.

It definitely felt like RP elements were removed in order to "welcome in new players" who may be put off by dialogue wheels and long stretches without combat. I am optimistic that lessons were learned. The blowback for ME3 was pretty extreme. EA felt it in amusingly absurd ways (winning Worst Company of the Year?).

As much as I don't care for DAI, I felt like it was a sign that BioWare might be given the time and freedom they need to keep making great games. I think many of the issues with ME3 were caused by EA requests. (It has to be available for PS3, but they spent months unsuccessfully trying to get game sequences working on PS3. It needs to be newcomer friendly, so we remove role-playing elements that defined the first two games. Etc...) Ultimately, they ran out of time and delivered an unfinished game that felt threadbare in some ways; and it was missing some elements that made the first two games great.

I think EA may have quieted down, a bit, with their requests, or has learned to trust the company in which they chose to invest. Or, maybe I'm deluding myself. We will see what type of product they release, eventually. We outsiders will likely never know exactly what went wrong during ME3's production.
