When did The Warden defeat a red lyrium dragon?

Or an ancient fade demon on par with nightmare?

To be fair the Inquisitor didn't defeat Nightmare either. He/she just successfully escaped from it, and by sacrificing either Hawke, Stroud, Alistair, or Loghain.

If anyone is going to get credit for fighting Nightmare it would have to be whoever was left behind.

Whats false about them? and I care :-) hence me bringing it up, pretty obvious, no? i dont care whether you do or not however.

The Herald of Andraste isn't the Inquisitor because they have the Anchor, and the Warden definitely isn't the Hero of Ferelden because they have the Taint. And while Hawke may be Champion for their combat prowess, again, it's not required, it doesn't mean anything unless their feats compare. They do not.

We got a man on a mission here it seems.

Traveylan > Anchor > Herald > Inquisitor , if he didnt have the Anchor people wouldnt view him as the Herald if you disagree with that please do not reply to me as i have no interest in arguing for the sake of it , his ability to close the rifts ( and his survival in the fade which is also thanx to the Anchor , no Anchor = Dead herald at the conclave) is the only reason why people regard him as being touched by a divine force namely Andraste, said deeds are what led him to become the Inquisitor in the end.

Perhaps he could have become the Herald without the Anchor the odds of that happening however is lower than me becoming the president of the USA and having 3 supermodel as my concubines.

Cousland > Taint > Grey Warden > Hero of Fereldan i dont need to really say much here , only Wardens can slay Archdemons. That has been established .

Thats not to say that these two arent great warriors , they are but they got a ..............lets say a boost for a lack of better word , in order to achieve what they have.

Hawke is no special snowflake like the former two , he is just your regular dude that happens to know his way around the battlefield which is why I personally rate him higher.

In the end its merely an opinion however so...................yea...ill go now.

Hawke fled to free marches to escape from the blight.

Inquisitor having a hard time to kill an archdemon like dragon.

While HoF stopped the blight and killed the archdemon in record time.

DA:O story doesn't work better as a mage... And arguably DA2 doesn't either. Personally I found the story of DA:O far more captivating as a human noble, and the story of DA2 is mostly interchangable regarding the class of Hawke.

For DAO i thought both the Human Noble and, thanks to Witch hunt, the Dalish Elf made the most sense story-wise. The former is more invested in the actual politics happening in Denerim while the latter actually gets a bookend to their story.

I like to think the inquisitor is an abomination.  An other worldly spirit is helping him (AKA the player).   ;)

There was some topic awhile ago I spent sort of examining this.  Your mileage may vary, of course, but by the end I concluded that the Inquisitor is likely the least martially-capable of the three protagonists thus far, though the anchor probably puts them well over Hawke.  The Warden, however, simply has too many abilities, and too many people who treat the character as the end-all battlefield presence by the end while the same cannot be said of the others.

Not what I meant Warder, stop being so defensive. The OP said the Inquisitor killed an Old God which is an ass pull.

Damnit! I meant red lyrium infused super archdemon...so archdemon, not old god ...typo..shoulda edited that :)

The Inquisitor ate all of their green vegetables. Did you eat all of your green vegetables, OP?

Archdemons are old gods that have become corrupted by taint that was normal dragon corrupted by red lyrium so it wasn't old god or archdemon.

Like all player characters in pretty much all RPG's, they're a Mary Sue. Or end up as it eventually. :P

Well, maybe not the poor sods in Dwarf Fortress. :P

The HOF is the only character to have bested 'gods,' and he/she potentially defeated two of them. (Urthemiel and Flemeth/Mythal)

Hawke & the Inquistor each have a goose egg in that department.

I wonder, is there a chance that Flemeth was simply going easy on the Warden? It would diminsh some of the accomplishment of defeating her if it was true.

I think that is entirely possible. Maybe even probable. She does need the Warden to defeat the Blight after all, and she had a contingency plan for dying.

But even with a half credit for Flemeth that still leaves the Warden ahead in having defeated Tevinter/Elven gods.

Pfft, Cory had all the power of a god at his fingertip. He charged the orb.

I however, still think the Warden is much more impressive having defeated two. I also count the one against Flemeth as legit, though.

Well, Cass in her romance says she's frightened of you, and that you're capable of anything.

Obviously, it was meant for a Knight Enchanter. :D

Yep.
