Load times pretty fast for me. Well maybe because i'm using SSD.

Not using SSD.  Load times are long (like around 30-40 sec), but nothing outrageous.

$1800 PC with several SSDs. ( why would you have a gaming rig without an SSD?!)

Load times are very manageable. They seem to get a bit longer as the game goes on as is understandable as there is a crap ton of different tangents/chests/interactions going on after 30+ hours of play. Probably half of the chests I encountered have items that need to be reloaded.

No complaints.

Because my machine is from two years ago (altought is above the recommended for DAI) and by that time SSD were not very well know or necessary...at least not here in Brazil.

I have zero complaints about the load times - though I have an SSD. There is a substantial difference, but 5 minutes sounds excessive.

HDD here, and it loads really fast. No need to waste money on an SSD.

My SSD based Laptop loads the game in 5-10 seconds. My more powerful HDD based Desktop takes about 30-45 seconds.

3 to 5 minutes to Skyhold? On average this is what people should expect on modern computers in DA:I

SSD 10Gb/s (1170MB) M.2 - Unknown (I have not tested)
SSD 10Gb/s (1000MB) sATAe - Unknown (I have not tested)
SSD 6Gb/s (550MB) sATA 3.0 - 05-15 seconds
HDD 6Gb/s (200MB) 7200RPM sATA 3.0 - 10-40 seconds

So when someone says they're having longer load times than these I'm starting to think there's an issue with the game on certain hardware configs and drives, or maybe even a leakage in the game. I wouldn't be surprised. But definitely a couple minutes of load times are not normal on a modern computer in this game. I would start to troubleshoot on the technical sub-forum and/or make a bug-report.

Until now only I have complained is this thread, but both Yahtzee and Totalbiscuit said they are annoyed about the long loading times. So, maybe is a minority of people suffering with this, but the problem is real.

My load times are pretty long as well.  It seems like the longer I play the longer the load times get.

I've checked my loading times, and they seem fine. To load Skyhold, it takes only 24 seconds, to load Hinterlands, 23 seconds . I have the game installed on my SSD Drive.

I dunno what to say, my machine is not as powerful as the OP's (i7 930 2.80 GHz, GTX 750 Ti 2GB, 12 GB DDR3) and I have everything set to medium, except meshes and textures, wich are on high.

EDIT: Now that I think of it, maybe it could be caused by the time played? I'm only at level 9 (about to reach 10) and just recently got to skyhold. Maybe if I progress further, I'll get longer loading times?

Yea it does take quite a while to load on some PCs , i gave up on it to be honest ( since my PC isnt the best ) and got a ps4 version , the loading never takes more than a couple of seconds on that.

Yep, on my ps4 it loads pretty quick.

Frostbite is famous for its long loading times though.

People with Battlefield 3/4 installed on a magnetic drive needs like a whole minute to get into a server.

And we should be ahppy about that ?

My game loads so fast I can't even read the loading screens :(

Invest in a solid state drive please. I noticed a huge difference in loading times.

You are not the only one with this issue.

My loading times are also above what is acceptable and often painful, taking around 5 minutes to go from desktop to in game, and from one to two minutes if i am loading an area. I am running the game on ultra.

Not using a SSD, and my loading times are maybe ten seconds at most- usually less- except for loading in to Skyhold.

Then it can take almost a full minute.  It's rather odd, as some other areas are full of people or dramatic scenery.

I do not have an SSD, normally an especially OP-rig, but my load times are much, much faster than yours, OP.  Nowhere near 5 minutes to load anything.  Very strange.

I wonder if there's a way to transfer my files from HDD to SSD... I really don't want to download the whole thing again, for Reasons.

I wouldn't be so bothered about the loading times if it actually let me read the codex cards that pop up.  I thought that was a great idea, but I get halfway through the first one and then its just a black screen for the rest of the load.  Overall you can probably only read those things for 20% of the total loading time.  The res of it is just a black screen with a logo.

I'm sure there's a technical reason for it, but it's annoying.

How about no?  I have a US$ 1800 PC that runs all games I own on high/ultra with no problems with configuration above the recomended for DAI.

But, just for the sake of it, let me ask, how long are the loading times for you with ssd?

I spent about the same amount on my PC and my initial load time is around 1 minute.  I actually thought it was less, but decided to time it and that's around what I got multiple times.  Travelling to new locales takes close to 30 seconds.  Returning to areas I've already been once in that session takes about 12 seconds.  That's not bad.

I don't have a SSD either, just a regular 7200rpm 2TB harddrive.

EDIT:  Oh, I'm running on high/ultra settings.
