Sounds like my theory is correct, complainers want attention. Good on Bioware for not giving you any. All "REAL" problems with ME2 will eventually be addressed. Just not less than 24 hours of release.

the people complaining on 45 minutes of gameplay want a dev to come in here and say what??????????
Get off of your high horse and play and enjoy the game or throw it away, what ever suits you. Heck it's your money not mine. Gosh the pure idiotic requests that come through here is quite amusing...

out wrong, highly exaggerated and overly dramatic, or a matter of
personal preference that I just cannot agree with. I freaking love the
game so far.
Quoted for truth. So much love to Bioware for this awesome game. It's clear that they put a great deal of work and investment in this game - and it has paid off in spades. Wasn't really a big fan of ME 1, but ME 2 is amazing and such an improvement over its predecessor.

This is what I'm talking about. How can anyone have a good point of view on the game if you only played it for a second. Kudos to you two for actually playing the game and coming back with fact-based reviews. I second everything you said, which is why I was also dumbfounded when I came onto the board, but then I realized that everyone who has the game is playing it and the fickle gamers are here busy trolling and whatnot about "OMG I can't color my armor Fushia, the game sucks". So just play the game, enjoy and let trolls be trolls.
For the record I am suffering at work anticipating playing at home so that I can get off these boards too.

this game is a masterpiece compared to the first mass effect. All you people who say it is not an rpg are right. Its not an rpg is something better. No longer do I have to spend thirty minutes equiping my crew with guns, armor, upgrades, make omnigel, spend two hours in a crappy mako to get up mount everest, spend hours talking to npc's that lend no insight to the story or feel of the game. You haters go on and hate on bioware for turning mass effect into an epic adventure that is enjoyable and better than the first in every possible way. You complain that it is not a true rpg, well niether was dragon age, or fallout three, or oblivion, etc etc etc. You want a true rpg get out some paper, pens, and d&d books and enjoy yourself. As for myself thank you bioware for another epic game. You have outdone yourselves and some people just like to complain. Now back to my epic adventure.
Nicely said.
I admire Bioware for making such great story driven games. This game (IMO) is a true masterpiece. A few small glitches shouldn't take away from this amazing game. Stuff that is this well written and crafted should go on to live in our minds and hearts for years to come.

No feedback is going to hold any real ground less than 24 hours after release. 2 weeks from now? Perhaps.
Besides. You do realise that your bullet points listed after a couple of hours experience, are basically the equivalent of bringing the cabbage within an inch of your tongue, then making faces, gagging, and screaming "I DON'T LIKE IT ISS NASTY!!"

Right. But positive feedback posted after less than an hour of game time is for some reason perfectly acceptable. Hypocrites much?
Why is it that if someone posts a lengthy and well-reasoned negative impression after 3 hours of game time it's "too soon to judge" but if someone comes here after playing for all of one hour and says "ZOMG THIS IS THE BEST GAME EVAR X 1000!!1" everyone just nods their heads and pats him on the back?

The most recent example of a failure and travesty of a bad game is SW:The Clone wars animated game. It was out of my xbox w/in 10 minutes as it was unplayable.
Bioware has created great expectations, and dare I say new categories of gaming, not everygame has to be a "typical bioware RPG" (open to individual interp as always) when will people understand that they arent obligated to make that type of game for the umpteenth time

He says no feedback, this implies good or bad, but youre fooling only yourself if you think its a bad game.
most of the people who are complaining don't say it's a bad game, I have finished first playthrough and I completely agree with some of those points, the game has its ups and downs, but it's still a great piece. Gonna do my second playthrough soonish, then make some shortish review, but everyone who says that the game is perfect either hates RPG elements, doesn't care about RPG elements or is a troll

No impression is well-reasoned 3 hours in to any activity that lasts many.
Besides, I don't blame Chris appreciating the thread...considering he's had to close several which may as well just be named "f*** you BW". Funny thing is, this isn't even about the game yet. I've seen this exact attitude being exhibited for a LONG time running up to ME2s release. Self-fulfilling prophecy much??

Seriously, play an actual bad game.
It's not a pure RPG and a few people have argued somewhat convincingly that the RPG elements in this game are stronger. One certain RPG strength over ME1 is dialouge

You don't like the game so far, we know. I thought your bullet-point list was fine, I agreed with some of it, and it was well-reasoned. It wasn't a true critique of the game, however. You left out anything positive or neutral; it was, essentially, a list of things that you hated about the game after playing it for three hours. Not everything in ME 2 is crap, so I'd be interested in hearing what you like about the game, as well.
And, in the spirit of that, there are several things I didn't like about the game, even though I had a positive post as well. The ammo, the galaxy map (I always overshot the mark and ended up burning useless fuel, ugh), the end boss was definitely LOLWHUT territory and I caught a few (possible) continuity errors in game lore.
You are 100% entitled to your feelings about the game. Just because someone, somewhere, is enjoying the game while you're not, though...just let it go.
