Because she's under the mistaken impression that she's above everyone and my inquisitor can't turf her off the balcony.

That and their doesn't seem to be any banter between her and Sera which is a shame because it could have been hilarious if their was.

Agreed but sometimes people like this are fun to deal with, no?

Not really, I just want to impale her with a flaming sword. *Sigh* My evil Inquisitor alt so would...

There's plenty of banter between these two.

I have a strict code that any character I can't get rid off has to have some points knocked off the likability meter. Other than that I like Vivienne, I even like that she can't be romanced now.  She has her own life, opinions, ambitions, and love.  If every companion was like Varric, safe and non offensive. I would have stopped playing the game.

I also think she's the best Divine out of the bunch. I wanted the Chantry to fall apart but I realized that was a lofty ambition so I stuck to something more realistic which was putting mages in the Chantry starting with the Divine herself. Hopefully it continues to work out.

**Who is Viv's male counterpart that everyone loves??

Why is her skin so shiny?  That's what irritates me. Everyone else look like they have normal skin.  It's like she rubbed her face in baby oil.

I like her. Really. Reminds of a few people I know.

You know, if you take the time, and talk to her, have her in your party for a few key quests,  you'll find out she's not that bad.

There isn't any companion I hate. Most are boring.. I like Cole, but the dual-handed rogue got screwed in this game and the poor spirit doesn't stand a chance in a fight. If I need a rogue it's Varicc or Sera. Simple because range is more useful.

Because she's a Fox News Anchor.

Isn't an anchorman/woman just a reader? The talking head shows are where the real shenaniganizing happens.

Heh Vivi miss "cares for no one but herself" is one of the few companions I've seen approve of you saving everyone you can at Haven.

That's the thing. Pretty much all of the companions care. The only one that might be a bit indifferent is Bull, given his nature.

Oh yeah, she's so selfish that she was one of the only companions in Inquisition that simply asked the Inquisitor if she (in my case) was alright after Adamant, and after the Well.     ;)

She's awesome!  I thought I was going to dislike her, but I turned out adoring her instead.  :P

Yeah Viv and Dorian are the only two to ask about my well being. I think Leliana does as well, in the war room.  It really makes me want to do a minimalist companion play through. Just recruit Dorian and Viv and tell everyone else to take a hike.

To be fair, Varric asks a couple of times if the PC is alright, once right after you get to Haven and after Adamant as well.  Varric's awesome like that though.

They don't all give me approval points though. They'll all give comments yes but I've only gotten approvals from Varric, Vivi and Cass. Or is that bugged?

I dislike her because I want to be her. I remember when Bioware games would let me be full of snark and look down at the peons below me. Perhaps freeze a man who annoys me and the kill him after having a conversation with someone else. But no, all the snark and cool scenes are reserved for your companions, so they can be cool. And you can be a boring old Herald, my thoughts and actions all approved and stamped with approval of 'what would the Herald do'

Ps don't try to tell anyone you aren't the herald we will just tell you to fake it better. Oh who are we kidding, the Npc don't even have to tell me to fake it, I have no choice, the dialog makes sure I am all prim and proper. I just wanted to make all my minions dance before me like Viv! And as stupid as the hair styles are in this game most my females end up bald, like Viv. :(

Oh man don't remind me.

"I'm not the herald of andraste."

*same conversation five seconds later*

"But you'll let the Herald of Andraste be swept under a carpet!"

....Cullen. Did you even listen to the words that came out of my mouth. Wat.

Just more of the same you encountered elsewhere in the series.

*remember back to DAO fighting in the proving*

Announcer guy-"Your going to fight as (insert future king of choice here) Champion? Excellent. What should I call you?"

You- "Tom"

Announcer guy- "I'll just call you Grey Warden, as those elven names are such a mouthful."

I would have no problem with Vivienne's character, what makes me hate interacting with her is that no matter what, she gets the last word. The conversation is set up that no matter what you say, she wins and your Inquisitor looks like an idiot, unless he/she agrees with her. You can't chastise her condemnation of mages wanting their freedom after she spread her legs to relative independence. She just magically floats above any and all criticism because she's a strong, independent woman who don't need no man.

I don't know how you create an all powerful protagonist who lacks the ability to hand out a verbal beat down. (And I'm not talking about snark or sarcasm.) I mean a proper "correction" of anyone who thinks to "get in your face". Whether he/she uses it or not is beside the point. It should be an option... Especially in cases like the ones you mention here.

How could you?

But nah Varric's more Hawke's bro :( He almost made me wish we were playing Hawke in Inquisition. Almost. (Plus Fenris reaction to Dorian and IB would've had me laughing my ass off).

1. She is a bch. Insulting, condescending and generally unpleasant. However, she provides absolutely nothing for the Inquisition. She is literately useless when it comes to story, she adds nothing IMO. Morrigan was a bch but she added a lot to the story including the huge dark ritual offer at the end. So all that "i'm a bad bch" is for nothing, she is not impressive.

2. She is a "loyalist". You have to be an idiot to not see the way things were was not right. Even if you believe in Templars+Circle of magi and magic serving man it still desperately needs reforms like Cassandra says.

3. She is the only divine choice that makes you feel like she dosen't fully appreciate/support the Inquisition.

4. "My dear" "Darling"

More i can't think of right now but i'm sure will remember when i replay.

I've only gotten Varric's Greatly Approves for Haven, but I haven't used everyone yet. I think Solas gets an approved or slightly or something, but I'm not sure how it varies as I haven't alternated enough as I'm only on my second playthrough. Sera, Cass and Varric were the last and still only Varric approved when I saved everyone.

Vivienne will express her support of Cassandra once it's determined that both she and Leliana are pegged as prime candidates. Vivienne is a supporter of reform, just not total abolition. She does, after all, greatly approve if you suggest that there should be mages in the Chantry.
