I usually take a break from the BSN if I ever feel tired of an argument here. To put in perspective, playing as a KE in a single player game does not affect me. I can choose to play it or not and even choose to exploit it's build....or not.
Sick of this KE argument

Again I'm wondering if you folks complaining that Hard and Nightmare are too easy have Friendly Fire toggled on. Cause let me tell you, Dorian kills me faster with his Chain Lightning than a squad of Venatori.
And if you decide to play with FF turned on Magequistion is a no-go and having more than one mage in the party guarantees micromanagement.

I do, I just turn off AOE abilities and make sure to use them myself with the tac mode. I play nightmare.
But, I don't mind it. Much. My armor rating's not the greatest so that helps, and I save fade touched obsidian for characters that I think need it, like the rogues who to me are terrible.
I say the game's imbalanced, but I'm not crying over it. After Skyrim, I can deal with just about any game's imbalance and enjoy it. Fighting's still fun enough to keep me playing.

I can't believe people whine about the imbalance of Knight Enchanters, which take like 10 minutes to solo a dragon, when other classes do things like this:

LOL, and there lies my point about the game in general.
This game never took itself seriously to begin with.

Go play Dark Souls
Why? I'm having fun right here with Dragon Age.
People take my defending the idea of the game being too easy and imbalanced as me not liking it. I love it and am having fun, but that doesn't mean I can't admit to what is simply true.
Basically, I'm not complaining about it, but I can see why others do. Also, telling someone to play something else isn't an answer. People just want to see the game they enjoy improved. Nothing wrong with that.

honestly for those that enjoy the feeling of being overpowered, all the power to you!
if you want more of a challenge you can easily nerf yourself by using lower gear and such.

BioWare needs to balance this game asap.

I am enjoying my knight enchanter, mainly because I love the opition of both attacking at a distance and up close as a mage. Anyways my main things I dislike about it are the following:
1.) can't wear heavy armor or even medium armor.
Nope you can, Enchanter Mail+ Superior Battlemage Mail arms and leg = Heavy Mage Armor
Your welcome....though expect mediocre stats from that teir 2 chest armor lol. Otherwise slap Silverite on warrior schematics

I would be pissed if the class got nerfed because some badasses think KE is too easy and need to be harder for Single Player.

Oh this nonsense again.
There are classes and skills that basically deal hundreds of thousands of damage (see rogue), the warriors played well are indestructible and deal high damage, and yet, so many "geniuses" complain over KE. And worse is they complain in a brainless manner. KE has high survivability, but low damage, unless you combine other spells with KE tree, at which point damage goes high too. The complaint is that it's either "boring" or "too easy". And what's irritating is that Bioware will probably cave in to the "geniuses" and make KE crap.
One thing none of these individuals ever tackles is how do you justify tinkering with KE, when rogue can solo dragons, and pretty much everything, warrior can solo dragons and pretty much everything and I'm sure other mage specs can do the same. You want to redesign the whole fkn game? Then make your own company and make a new game, sheesh lol. It's just mind boggling how "smart" some people can be.

Chances are there won't be any nerfs considering Vanguard was left untouched in Mass Effect 3 despite all the whining.
Or the shotgun reload exploit and Mattock/Adrenaline Rush in Mass Effect 2.
Or Arcane Warrior being broken as hell in Dragon Age Origins.

KE really isn't any more "broken" than the other top tier specs in the game, it just reaches it's full potential a bit earlier. I think I specced Vivi into a functional KE/Spirit/Frost SB Spam Dragonslayer build somewhere between lv 10-13), whereas my Archer Assassin didn't really reach his huge dps crit spam potential till like, 16-18ish? Never used Sera or Tempest, but I'd assume it's a similar case for them. So KE is somewhat broken when specced correctly, but so are a few other classes, and its not like it's even the best spec in the game it still doesn't even come close to having the highest damage output in the game... Just look at all the youtube videos of the Rogue specs (yes, even Artificer) soloing Dragons on Nightmare in 14-20 seconds.
No one's forcing you to use Spirit Blade barrier spam, you can easily go pure ranged caster, which doesn't give you huge amounts of barrier as easily as spamming melee. Avoid the spirit tree buffs to barrier, OR don't take anything in spirit at all, so the only way you get barrier is through fade shield... But yeah, it does seem the devs need to find a way to balance melee mages while keeping them fun - both times we've had them (specifically with Fade Shield) they've been nigh unkillable when used correctly.

All the mage specs can be overpowered in their own way. KE is perfect for tanking and doing a buttload of damage. Necromancer is excellent crowd control, and it lets you regenerate health and mana. Rift Mage can do a buttoload of damage from a distance, and is good at keeping enemies away from you.
KE is simply the easiest to master in my opinion because it's so straightforward.

I actually had to turn some abilities off for Dorian even before I turned friendly fire on because he was stealing the **** out of my kills, lol. Necromancer is really awesome.

LOL, so true.
Give him fire and Necromancy, and he can almost solo most fights by himself.

I enjoy playing KE...don't see the point in whining about nerfing single player classes. When has Bioware ever done that? They never did for Vanguard's in ME. So, you know, have fun whining instead of playing the game.

They already nerfed Knight Enchanter. It used to be able to combo with the Spirit Blade. It doesn't anymore ![]()
