Dear Bioware,

 

 

I sense there is likely a DLC in the works to continue Solas' story. I request - no, BEG - this DLC include an extensive continuation of the romance storyline.

 

You see, your mission to create emotionally engaging content? Nailed it. My emotional investment borders on unhealthy.

 

While my first play-through delivered a deliciously satisfying romance with Cullen (swoon), the Solas romance felt incomplete. Two quick moments (the dream and the balcony) and the rest of our conversations have the same two options (tell me about your experiences in the fade AGAIN). There seems to be little growth, until that magical night when he removes the vallaslin and... dumps me?! 

 

Nevertheless, he made an impression, and I'm dying to see what happens next between Solas and my inquisitor. He obviously plays a pivotal role in the main story line, but let's be serious: give us some freaky fade sex!

 

Don't think me ungrateful - I have quite a lot of Thedas left to explore... but really, all I want for Christmas is Solas.

I will agree with you on Solas needing more romance content, if he does appear in future DLCs.

 

I do not agree that we need to have sex scenes with Solas.  They were intentionally not included in his romance, so that players could decide for themselves whether or not their characters did the deed with him.  For various reasons, it was believed that sex might be a touchy subject where Solas is concerned.  Part of that is because he was actually hiding his identity, and plenty of people are definitely not okay with that in terms with a sexual relationship.  If I had to guess,another reason may include the fact that asexuals and some others have been requesting a romance that didn't necessarily involve sex.  While Solas is clearly not asexual, given some of his dialogue, the player or the player's character might be.

 

I definitely do want to see more of Solas in some DLC, and hopefully see an actual resolution to his romance--even if it's just to reinforce the fact that it's over, but does so in such a way that my poor Inquisitor isn't asking WHY WHY WHY in her head over and over and upsetting poor Cole.  It would be preferable if he were able to rejoin the party post-game somehow (it feels so lonely and empty without him in my party, I took him everywhere), although given who he is, that may not be an option.

I agree OP, definitely hoping for a continuation in a DLC *cries* if nothing else can we gat the option to have someone comfort us? Cole? Varric? Krem? None would give me a hug I would settle for crying on Vivienne's bosom.

I didn't romance him, but I would def support more content with him, especially because even his friendship was very meaningful and it broke my Cadash's heart that he vanished.

I also thing his big reveal at the end doesn't actually matter for the PC, because they have no idea, so something that ties that to the character and not the audience would be great.

I agree, we need some DLC, or DA 4 resolution to the relationship.  I was disappointed there was no physical relationship with Solas, and finding out his true identity just made him all the sexier to me, lol.  Who wouldn't want a relationship with him?!?   I've never felt so empty inside over a game when I realized he was gone.....~sigh~.....

I agree, however I would like to see it continue in a way their paths crossed, and he finally opens up and begins to trust.

I want a possibility to take him him back. That is my number one priority what comes to his romance. After his mission it would be nice that he would find my Lavellan and maybe explain why he had to leave her and of course he would apologize.This would be quite important to me because he left my Lavellan so when he has the opportunity to find her then he should do it. It would also show how much he loves her so there wouldn't be any doubt about it. I guess it's unlikely that he could come back to Inquisiton so it would be nice that Lavellan could leave with him somewhere where his people are.

To the OP....I really enjoyed reading your post XD and can definitely relate.

 

I hope, in some form, they find a way to finish it off either satisfyingly, or at least in a manner that lets our choices affect how it all goes down (sorta similar to how Alistair was a maybe happy ending depending on what you did and considered acceptable).

I would like a DLC that doesn't just add new content at the end of the game but expands on what's already there. The romances in DA:I don't feel like relationships to me. It's bad enough that I have to make the first move each and every time but outside of 2-3 cutscenes and perhaps 4 conversation the relationship might as well not exist.

Why can't my LI move into my chambers? My bed is big enough.

Why doesn't my LI draw me to the side as we return to Skyhold and just gives me a hug, happy to see me back healthy?

Why don't the conversations change more?

Why aren't there more reactions from my companions and other NPCs regarding my changed relationship status? At least Josephine should comment on it, as she's basically my PR manager.

Why can't I just hang out with my LI?

Yes, this shouldn't distract from the actual story in the game but I prefer things to be done right, if they are done at all.

I have an unhealthy depression after playing this game. Bring Solas back pleeeease. It will make a good chunk of people pay more money, if that's what they want....

A continuation of the Solas romance would be a lovely addition. Of most of the romances in the game so far, I find his to be most unique and tragic. Please, bioware, listen to our op!

Solas is a main plot point...he deserves more attention...and I'm not completely biased towards his character or anything... :|

Look, even though he is an important character for the Solasmancers, it wouldn't be fair to just make a DLC only for the Solasmancers. If it's going to be part of something big, might as well be a Citadel like DLC where each companion has at least its time to shine. It would be killing two birds with one stone.

I never actually did that DLC. I like Morrigan and all, but by the time it came out I had moved on from DAO. I have it so I might play it down the road but it doesn't do much for me. Is Alistair in it? Do I get any extra Ali content? If not.... meh.
