Yes, everyone is free to think and feel the way they see fit. I won't force my feelings upon anyone else.

I am glad that someone has posted/created this: No Blood/Less Blood Mod - http://social.bioware.com/project/396/

Has anyone tried it yet? I can't try it til tonight.

the blood and gore are over the top because thats what they were going for the artistic direction mixed with dark humor incase you just met bioware they like long walks on the beach drinking wine an dark humor so get used to it lol if you couldn't tell by the many jokes they have in all there games if they took a more realistic aproach to all the slayings it would be harder for them to make those little light hearted moments either way it woulda been a great game just enjoy it for what it is though

my thoughts exactly.  I suppose eveyone has the right to their opinion, but im surprised that so many seem to be offended by it.  they seem to be missing the point or not seeing it for what it is.  And to the people who say the amount of blood or the pools of blood are not realistic - I woudnt be so quick to say that.  Ive seen quite a lot of blood in Iraq, ours and theirs.  Try to imagine what a haji fighting positon looks like after it gets hit by a few frags from determined Marines...  semper fi

Sadly, I find myself in total agreement with someone who's been in Iraq doing stuff I wholeheartedly disagree with... I guess that's what they call irony. Right, anyway, my point is that when you chop open someone's belly, guts fall out. We're so conditioned by PG crap (and the fact that gore in movies is a special effect, that's often ignored because it's simply not worth it) that if we actually see that happening IRL, we go "Yeah, right, tone down the over-the-top slasher flick gore nonsense -- that's not what it really looks like... oh, wait... EEEEEK!!!!"

This is gonna sound *extremely* silly compared to what my... friend... (-- No, not that tone!) ... what my friend (-- Better!) above posted, but I think it might put things into perspective: I suffer from having dry and very fragile mucus membranes in my nose, and this means I frequently have nose bleeds. Now, let me tell you, it frickin' pours! If I for some reason wouldn't be able to press my nose shut (say, because I needed both my hands free), I'd look like I came straight out of the climax of a Die Hard movie! And the punchline is, that's not a lot of blood! It's nowhere near an arterial bleed. Bottom line: DA isn't really that over the top. Maybe some of the particle effects, but that's totally forgivable IMO, because having blood splatter with simulated fluid dynamics is just not realistic at this point in time.
