A big shout out to @Banxy and @lspan, for taking my delicate little "parakeet" of an Assassin, for a couple of FC/Dragon runs on Perilous! Mostly I was just trying not to die - no fun for them if they have to keep rezzing my squishy behind. I did still snuff it a few times though (I forgot to take the upgrade to Flank Attack, before I went in....oops ). I had fun, and I hope to be more help in the near future!

Also ran into @Hrungr - he was playing AW, so I suspect it was right after he got his Heart of Pride(??) - but I came into the match late. Still, nice to see him.

Had some matches with @Icneed and @ReadingRambo220. I am lucky to run into them nearly once a day. @RR did a couple runs with the same group I was pugging in, which was fun.

With the perilous runs that Banxy and lspan took me through, I was able to promote my Assassin again. Now I am back with my Avaar, trying to promote him again, as well. I love playing him, but DAMN! It takes me a number of matches to get the timing right with his "giant sword through molasses" moves. Except for the Flame Leap...I love that.

BTW, total noobie question (again), how do people get their Avaar to charge constantly across a map? I use a m/k, and for the life of me, I can only get a burst charge, plus the might blow animation soon after, when using Hakkon's Charge.

Hold the ability key down. Once you let go, he will take a swing in the direction that you are facing.

You just use Hakkons charge and don't stop running.  You only do the attack if you stop at a target.  The good thing about him is you can also have better maneuverability it seems that the katari at least from my experience.

I swear to all things holy, I have tried that, but it still didn't work! Maybe it's my keyboard (it is rather crappy, and I do have to use my cursor to choose an ability off the ability bar, sometimes ).

Make sure you aren't holding the auto-attack button.  This can cut your charge short also.

It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out that's why my charges were stopping on the first guy and not knocking people down.

So I switched out my keyboard - older, but I believe in better working order - and it seems to work. However holding the W+3 keys, and making sure my mouse drive is working properly, isn't exactly flawless. I don't have a gaming mouse, so I have to use the keys. Am I still missing something?

(And thanks @Jay P and @Hrungr for the responses....I was doing that very thing - hitting auto-attack - with my SS as well. I tried her out before my Avaar though, so I had at least a little experience on what I did wrong, when I started playing Skywatcher. Not much...but a little. )

Hmm, I had one CTD just as my 2nd game today was starting, but otherwise the rest of today's games have gone okay. Weekends are generally the worst for me.

Side note:  If you press the sprint button while charging, you get locked into the charge and you can't change direction or do damage with it, but you stop using stamina and the ability starts to cooldown.  Good for moving long distances quickly while gaining stamina back.  Only works with Charging Bull.

I tend not to run away based purely on levels, I was going to promote that ss and keep going but the team fell apart so I sacked it and went to bed, out of 4 hours playtime yours was the first non idiot non lagfest game I dropped into

Had three games with Scrubber Nuggs this morning.  Two out of the three were a success the other one we got bolterized.  The bolters were of course in a veil torch level.  I was hoping I could get to the torch before one of the other players becasue I knew what was going to happen but alas the other guy grabbed the torch and decided to do the rambo run, vs bolters....in place with no cover.

 

At least I was able to kill steal most of Juggers Paladin opponents with my archer.  Let em whittle em down and then leaping shot, explosive shot......kill streak for Beerfish!

Had some good games over the last few days with Coldwetn0se, Cirvante, Girltriesgames, SpaceV3gan (and I'm sure a bunch of others I'm forgetting).

In my first match yesterday, I jumped into a Pug on the torch level - already halfway done. With my AW... wearing a Storm Belt. If I had any sense at all I would have just noped out of that Pug, but I thought - I can make it... I think. I thought wrong.

To show you how these stoopid games affect me, this past summer twice after my dog had gotten wet I told him he smelled like Fereldan....and got some strange looks from relatives.

Ran a bunch of Perilous runs today, with @Porcelyn and she did awesome. The others on the team, I don't believe post here but a big shoutout to Latmagic, Ocean, ABC, and Slayer. I went down like a sack of potatoes, most of the time. But I did get a new Unique bow (The Long Shot), and finally managed to stay alive for at least one match with my Hunter. Also promoted my Reaver, and got my Saarabas back up and running (who did a bit better, in a simple support role ).

I may have seen green more often than not, but I had a blast!
