I Was Never Here - does it work?

My Inquisitor has the passive Assassin skill I Was Never Here, which supposedly removes the cooldown on stealth after a kill - but it doesn't work for me. Or, rather, it seems very iffy. Even when I'm 100% sure my char made the kill, the cooldown isn't removed anyway. Am I missing something here about how it is supposed to work?

I tried searching for it, but the skill doesn't have a particularly search friendly name.

It works, you have to make the kill not your party.

If you make the kill yourself the skill works fine.. It is practically the primary passive of the Assassin spec (one of the most used specs I think) so you can be sure that if the main passive there was bugged you would have 2.000 threads about it until patched.

If you have a DW rogue you can easily test that it works fine simply going in stealth, going behind a squishy target (as an archer) and using Twin Fangs on it. On normal or hard difficulty you can be sure that you will kill it immediately and then stealth CD will reset. If you use an archer you can do the same with Full Draw.

In short: it works as many people (me included) are using it without issues.

It works thrice in this video I did about AI behaviors and the hold command. Once after the last hit of hidden blades kills an enemy, again after twin fangs kills an enemy, and again after auto attacking kills an enemy +

As said, sometimes it doesn't work even if I'm 100% that my char did the kill (which is why I pointed it out in the first post, but whatever...).

Even when I'm 100% sure my char made the kill, the cooldown isn't removed anyway.

I'll experiment around a bit with my char completely alone and squishy targets.

Well you see it in action 3 times in the video I posted.

Yup it works, together with flanking attack putting you in stealth, you're stealth all the time as a DW assassin. you can pretty much focus on crit damage on gear since another passive you get gives you 100% crit chance from stealth.

I don't know about this.

As soon as my rogue archer goes in stealth mode and prepares for Full Draw the stealth vanishes.

When I start drawing my bow the enemy discovers me. So, what's the idea of stealth mode?

I had noticed that too as an archer, and wondered if archer abilities are just not compatible with stealth?
