For examples needlessly long side missions , collecting shards in annoying high spots and so on.
The one thing I find that's a chore , it's kinda bad cause this is how your suppose to learn about the characters but I find just speaking to my party members at camp such a chore to do especially the ones I don't care about. (They always have sooooo much to talk about and I just don't care =_= in the end Vivi still disapproves of whatever I say and Sera still annoys the crap out of me.)
What do you find that's a chore in this game?

That five second pause when you're loading the war table. It adds up in the end lol.
Oh yeah that's a good one lol

(to Char) What I find funniest is that if you do the wartable method of gathering, they come back with about five herbs. I come back with more from a walk around a lake. I can't help but imaging that the soldiers are using it as an excuse to take a break from Cullen's routines and just picks the herbs off the garden when they come back, those lovable scamps.

Killing bears.
Ohhhh yes.
I swear the bears in this game have a 6th sense, especially the ones in the Hinterlands. You come across one bear. ONE. Said bear decides to attack you, and as you're about halfway done with mindlessly slashing at it, another one will turn up and decides that this looks like fun, and then another. It's the Teddy Bears Picnic all over again
When I went to collect the Great Bear Claws I ended up having to fight all three, plus two ordinary bears in the same sequence. In future I declare my games BYOB- Bring Your Own Bears.

Yeah it wouldn't be so bad, but there are so many of them.

Requisition is pretty worthless as power is easy to come by. Shards however - have a practical purpose later on. But I won't fault you for ignoring them. They are a real ****** to gather. Though I did. All of them. You can still get partial benefits for some collected shards, but for full effect, you need them all. Though in reality, but the time you get them all, the benefit will be less than impressive IMO.

" What you only picked up 10 Herbs! but that took 5 hours what were you doing this whole time! "
Recruit 1: "what's the job today?"
Recruit 2: "we have 5 hours to pick herbs in the Emerald Graves"
Recruit 1: "It's your turn to bring the beers."
It's the equivalent of being asked to go get milk if you work in an office it seems; a convenient excuse to have some relaxation time

I should have known that invitation to the Teddy Bears' Picnic was a trap - It's always a trap!
Oh well, there's always the High Dragon's Tea Party. I hear she's serving those little frilly cakes!

I gathered them the first time, but the game is sufficiently conquerable that I don't think they're particularly useful for the bonuses they give you.

The various collection quests for sure. The mosaics and shards stand out. The astrariums were fun though.

Though make sure you listen to your advisors and avoid the latest Orlesian selection. Just because Deep Mushroom is fashionable, doesn't make it tasty

Now I'm thinking about this poor squad out there basking in the sunshine, drinking beers, their little stash of elfroot all harvested, and a great bear stumbles upon them.

There is usually several Brontos walking around near the Giants, and one little Mage AoE spell and they come and join in. With the Giants' large health pool and the Brontos' high Guard and bull rush they take forever to kill.
