These guys showed in up Skyhold after the battle in Arbor Wilds. Did the ancient elves join the Inquisition after the battle, because I thought the leader said something to the effect that he would just leave, or did the some Inquisition elves steal their armor after the fight?

He might be Dalish, I think the Dalish Arcane Warrior in the MP wears armor like that.

Yes, I was thinking that guy is the same Arcane Warrior from DAMP..... Same Armor and all.

That is indeed the Arcane Warrior from DAMP.
If you look closely, you can find the Keeper in the gardens, and I believe I saw the Legionnaire and the Necromancer on the battlements. There are also reports of the Katari roaming those battlements.

Lots of ancient elves died at that temple fighting Corypheus' forces. Elves joined the Inquisition as well. I'm certain those guys wearing that armor just looted some nearby corpse. You do it, so why not them?
Pretty obvious, really.

That's my ham-loving buddy Cillian.
(Arcane Warrior from multiplayer)

Not that I would complain in the slightest if Abelas led what's left of his crew to Skyhold.
Annnd I'll put in a screenshot because I can. Looks like he changed his hair a bit and his vallaslin aren't as visible.

Elves wearing the ancient armor started showing up in Skyhold in one of my playthroughs before I'd even done Here Lies the Abyss/Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, so they can't be the ancient elves from the temple. Or I guess they could, but it'd be a little hard to explain. Then again, it's also kinda hard to explain why random Dalish elves would be wearing the ancient armor. Hmm... *shrugs*

The blurb below says "citation needed" on the wiki page, but I do remember reading it in game under "character background" when you choose your multiplayer character. I love his personality. He's just so happy all the time and Neria (the Keeper) does chide him a bit for being so friendly with the humans.
http://dragonage.wik...om/wiki/Cillian
Like Neria, Cillian was born to the Ralaferian Clan. In his youth, he lived apart from his people in order to resurrect a lost art, that of the Arcane Warrior. Originally driven by the need to seek glory for his people, Cillian's years of meditation and solitude gave him wisdom and respect for all life. When The Breach opened, he knew his duty was to stand against it, fighting to save all he knows and loves.

You end up influencing Blackwall pretty heavily if he likes you or you're romancing him.
You can also influence Leliana in a pretty major way, even though romancing isn't an option.

Good point about Leliana. I saw in that Valence chantry how my choices influenced her
... I didn't know that about Blackwall. My little elf mage turned him down in Haven, and our friendship never really materialized. I think he was somewhat surprised later on at the choices I made concerning him. I am gonna do a Blackwall romance PT at some point -- along with all the others -- so look forward to seeing how that plays out. I guess maybe I was just griping about Sera, heh. It's a tough relationship for an elf to get into... but totally worth it.
