Youd think that with all their experience, a simple thing like adding more nodes to their server....even temporary ones wouldnt be a Herculean effort on their part..............but obviously not

This is totally unacceptable. I was able to download one file from the site but not the other and now just sit at a please wait screen and its not even an online game. Nada from tech support.

Also, notice the black hole in the back of the Please wait... screen? That's EA, draining the money out of your pockets and lighting up the galaxy with the searing disappointment of long time gamers who watch as their cherished pastime is corrupted by panicked and bumbling methods of reducing piracy.
ROFL thanks man i was indeed in need of a good laugh:D

I'm very pissed. I bought this game from Amazon and payed extra to have it shipped to me on the first day it came out. I was very excited when I popped it in but now it just hangs and hangs. And there is no way to remain logged in at all times, which sucks.
So much for getting this game on day one and having fun with it.

Congratulations, it's now been 3 hours or more since the servers went down. If you were any other company your losses would be to the point where someone was getting fired. It must be nice to be able to take our money and then dust off your hands of any personal responsibility. I understand Bioware isn't responsible for the servers, but it would be awfully nice if your PM sent a strongly worded email to whomever is in charge of your servers.

So with all these reservations they never anticipated that their servers could overload?

I buy games to help support the dev's, they work hard on them and should see a return. However, I am begining to change my mind. My buddy has a pirate copy with promo codes and is happily playing right now. I jumped through every hoop, including waiting for 30 minutes for customer support only to have them cancel in my face, and am sitting here instead of playing a game I paid for. I think ME2 is the last game I will actually pay for. Its less of a pain to get it for free.

Same here. I got the added content downloaded and installed, but it just sits on the please wait screen. AV and firewall disabled.
This makes the whole added content thing kind of meaningless if you can't get to the Cerebrus network

Take a chill pill people, im sure they're working on it as we speak. It's release day so things are bound to go bad. Let's all remain calm, i mean your computers and the game itself are still going to be there later and tomorrow and the day after. So just be patient. Im in the same spot as you guys i got the digital deluxe edition and ive registered everything and ready to play but it hangs so i gotta wait.

Hey,
We appreciate your patience. We're currently testing a fix but I can't give you an ETA just yet.
In the meantime, you can still play the game by restarting the game and not logging in to Cerberus.
