I figure just in case it is a true issue and not just server overload that I'm having the same please wait issue

This on top of the bonus code issues is just... amateur

I be tempted to just close my game and start playing. But I am worried something may happen with it currently stuck in the please wait.dadadoom wrote...
Fix it already! I could start playing it right now, but I really want all DLC in place before I do so.

Nah, if my days of beta-testing and seeing MMO launch dates amount to anything this is the usual developer "But... But... We didnt expect people would log in that much! In the afternoon, after they get out of work!" flop. Been there, done that.

So does it ever go away, or do I close out and connect again? Kind of frustrating to pay 60 bucks for a game I can't even play...
Unfortunately, problems like these taint a game that should be great.

If you wait it out (which may happen after 30 secs or 15 mins, or not at all) you can play without validating the DLC.

vadril: You can play without logging in, just can't access your DLC, even if you've downloaded and installed it.

lol, this is about as bad as the Sim Societies game. That game doesn't even load up.
So I finally waited out the please wait screen and it says it timed out... Any idea on how to import my ME1 save?

Get it together, BioWare/EA! I'd like to play the brand new game I just bought, instead of staring at a "Please wait" screen forever. Not happy.

Having the same problem. You can just close the program and reload it with no problem. Just click cancel when it asks you to connect to Cerberus. You won't be able to use any of your DLC off the bat though.

I ran Wireshark to see what was up with the modem lights. My computer is talking to 159.153.109.173, which is an Electronic Arts IP address. This issue is all down to EA's servers not handling the load. Cerebus is not up to the task, it seems.
EA/Bioware: Please don't do this to your most loyal fans. We love your games, and this "social network" nonsense is just that. Stop doing it.

Compared to DA:Origins this is bush league. There should be some freindly pointing and laughing. DA:O had some issues on the first day but all the content worked.

Come on EA, get your butts in gear. I didn't get a 'please wait' when you were processing my credit card. . just sayin'

You guys... the only thing this is preventing is your DLC from being active. Don't worry about it for now. Just close out, restart the game, and when it asks to connect say NO. It will tell you that it can't register your DLC content, but you can still play the game. Add your DLC later, when EA is less slammed.
