All I can say is: why are you all surprised? This game has been on my most anticipated list since I got half way through the first one. As for the servers, anyone that bought Dragon Age from day one should know that this is the norm.

Proving once again that measures to prevent piracy in fact only encourage it. I preordered the collectors edition and waited patiently for the game to be released. Pirating it never even entered my mind because I not only wanted the game, but I wanted to support the developers who produced it.
However, if this is a continued issue I guarantee you that individuals who purchased this game will be more likely to pirate the next one to avoid these sort of release issues. We should not be punished for legally purchasing this game. I have entered my registration key in three different places already, entered my DLC twice - but this apparently is not enough to prove that I purchased it. I am tired of being made to feel as if I'm at the airport security checkpoint and the staff working it is on break.

All this nonsense to stop pirates, when the pirates have already gotten their DLC crack. Basically, punishing those of us who bought the game. GG

What do think, if i just start a game without the DLC and try again tomorrow with em. Will i be missing something i cant experience later. I mean does those DLC affect the start of the game. Is there a point to bang head into the wall if we could play the game and enjoy the DLC later?

Yep, just skipping the log in and playing without DLC. It's all installed thanks to:
http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php
Just says it can't activate due to not being logged in. Game's fun without it for now and I'm probably not at the point where I could get to most of the DLC yet anyway.
But they really should have upgraded the servers for this.

Man, why do I always assume I'll get to play a game I buy on it's launch day? Even single player ones. I should have learned by now.

"It would be nice to at least get a response on this. Something like, "We realize there is a problem and we are currently working to resolve this issue."
Yay! An hour later, I get nearly word for word what I suggested. Good to know you guys are on top of it and going out of your way to keep us informed.

Great.
Thanks for the reply Don Moar. This might come across as rude but really it's not meant to be.
But damn it was about time we got an official word about this.
Is there any ETA?(I doubt you do but it doesn't hurt to ask

Doesn't work for me either. Thanks a lot, EA! And it definitely isn't my settings, because Dragon Age's online stuff works fine.

Also, notice the black hole in the back of the Please wait... screen? That's EA, draining the money out of your pockets and lighting up the galaxy with the searing disappointment of long time gamers who watch as their cherished pastime is corrupted by panicked and bumbling methods of reducing piracy.

A simple serial number activation is not enough, you need more authentication and bullcrap to deal with, Again this is done for nothing more than to fight those minimal game resellers who play the game and just wanna get something back. If this bull**** wouldn't have been implemented in this game and they would have just left it with nothing more than a serial activation and if you want extras you pay for them individually this wouldn't have happened. The corporate greed of more and more and more and in the end is useless, all it does is pissoff the loyal game buyers who just wanna get home install it and start playing.
