As a peson that played has  dragon age thru the years and doesnt read the books or comics and i finally figured out  something what if  varric  besides being in game character as writer/friend  of the heros that we play as, what if  the dragon age  game is a book that he is writing in chapters like the tales of the champion and the fereldan hero books ..

since he been in  all 3 games and expacs and dlcs as a character that we meet and he gets to know us and  such.. what if he is the creator { not the maker}and the character we play are just characters he made in the books that he writes?

if so i just love how the devs  made varric and figured ways to keep him  in the games with some back round and family problems that help him seem more  tangable in the sense that we're playing a game that varrics  writes as a book for each character that we created..

please forgive my typos and broken context i cant seem to get the spell checker programs to work with the new  bsn fourms

and yes english is my primary way of talking, i just type talk like i am talking to someone that next to me and or in the same room since you cant really edit real life conversations with ,!."" would be funny to see if we all spoke in real life with word ballons over are heads that are saying being edited

i could have sworn he was in dragon age o to some degree before we fight the arch demon{ i thought you had to have certain things done to get him in your group for dragon age o

so conspiracy not busted or maybe i just like the character to much to think that he was?

I thought the theory about Sandal being the Maker was nuts, this one sounds like it could take 1st place.

As a conspiracy it was a good attempt... save for the one drastic flaw.

But wait! Have you ever seen Oghren and Varric in the room at the same time? It's obvious, Oghren was really Varric in disguise. (Don't tell me that false beard made from orange-dyed nug hair (don't ask*) fooled you.)

This is a CIA** plot to hide the truth from you! We are what Varric dreams about. He should know not to eat cheese before bed.

Now, where did I put my aluminium foil headdress.

Yes, this makes perfect sense.

Varric is an aspect of the Maker or the Maker himself, walking among his creations.  And Oghren is Varric, but he shaved off his beard to escape his family obligations, became a writer.  He channels all his regret at leaving his great-set-of-buns girlfriend, his son, and I think he killed his Paragon wife, into his romance novels that Cassandra loves.  This all makes perfect sense.

---

I will now introduce the Sera Story Theory.  This is for both Sera- lovers and haters.

All the events of DAI are actually a drug-induced hallucination by Sera.  Corypheus was actually successful, the future that came to pass in the Mages' storyline is reality.  She's still in Denerim, having never left, just drinking/snorting her Tempest Flasks of Ice/Fire/Lightning, which are actually narcotics.

In her desperate and delusional state, she imagines a Herald of Andraste to save her and all her friends.  She even imagines herself as a heroic figure called Red Jenny.  That's why she repeatedly hates everything to do with the Fade; the Fade actually represents her bad acid trips, like when she crashes.

That's also why things like the Orlesian nobles' masks looks so weird.  Sera does harbor a genuine dislike for the upper crust, but has never seen them, so she makes up this weird appearance.  All the other plot holes you guys imagined?  Just flaws in Sera's imagination, details she merely overlooked.

For those of you that romanced Sera all the way, who had that argument with her about her dreams, THIS is why.  To her, those dreams are as real as what we played in DAI, those nightmares really came to pass, i.e. she saw Inky die so she is dead as it's all in her head.

She's barricaded herself inside a Flaskhouse in Denerim, the only food she has left are stale raisin cookies.  She knows she'll die soon enough, so rather being killed by demons, she's trying to overdose while seeing the face of her imaginary Inquisitor one last time.
