I would like you to clarify for me why this skill doesn't have effect on Firestorm and Fire wall. I can clearly see fire in their name and yet Chaotic focus works only on Immolation and probably fire mine. Is it intended or is it one of the 100 bugs appearing in game. If it's made on purpose, then you should change names for the skills

Probably because the damage from firestorm and fire wall comes from burning, not the spell itself.
Actually firestorm should be affected, it just deals 100% weapon damage to begin with, so any percentage buff is hardly noticable (assuming its working as intended).
Wall of fire deals no direct fire damage whatsoever, so there is no reason why this passive should buff this spell.
Chaotic focus works on Flashfire, Immolate, Fire mine and Firestorm (haven't tested this one though).
No change is needed. The tooltip is 100% correct.

And given that WoF deals DoT, I don't think you want to go all N7 Slayer in the first place. That would just be kind of silly given the current mechanics.

If I cast Barrier and Firestorm Barrier deteriorates faster than when I cast Barrier alone. It seems to me that with each hit of Firestorm % is consumed or/and there is faster rate of deterioration per spell duration, possibly up to advertised 50%. If it gives damage bonus I do not know.

Okay, the chaotic focus mechanics have been bugging me as well, so I ran some quick and dirty testing. Firestorm isn't part of the fire tree, so it doesn't receive the bonus. My testing didn't eat any of my barrier, either. As far as the other spells tested (wall of fire, fire mine and immolate) the results were precise, but the underlying methodology seems unclear to me.
Immolate - this ability has two components, direct and dot. When cast under full barrier, the direct damage component doubled, while the the dot component saw only a 20% increase. Curious.
Wall of fire - This ability saw a very modest, but very clear 25% increase from a full barrier casting. Curiouser.
Fire mine - Whoa, baby! This ability saw a 200% increase in damage from a full barrier casting. Was not able to test the dot component due to anything I tested it on being wiped out by the initial damage. Curiouser and curiouser.
It would seem that two principles apply to chaotic focus damage (at least a full barrier): damage bonus scales with the amount of damage an ability does - that is to say that the harder an ability hits, the bigger bonus it gets - and dots are not recieving nearly the bonus that direct damage abilities do. However, the dots did scale consistently, receiving greater bonuses as base damage climbed, so I believe that they are benefiting from linear scaling while direct damage benefits from exponential scaling.
The following model seems to describe the damage bonuses I've seen, though more testing will be needed to verify if this holds true across all fire skills:
For direct damage: total damage = base damage% * (1+(base damage %+50)/1000)^2
For damage over time: total damage = base damage% *(1+(base damage%+50)/1000)
With these formulas being so similar, and all the bugs we've seen, I have to wonder if dot component scaling slower is intended, or if it is simply an oversight, with the modifier being applied once instead of twice (hence the ^2).
TL;DR - Chaotic focus works best with fire mine.

Fire Mine does 3200% damage with it? That's amusing.

Actually, it's even better. A 200% increase means 4,800% damage. You can imagine why I was unable to test the dot portion of this spell. The truly. . .tasty part of this as that the number appears to stack with multiple barriers. In a game with a keeper, I dropped a fire mine with double barrier up: did over 12,000 damage (crit) on threatening. I have seen non-crits for over 7k.
chaotic focus.

It's 2400 base? Been a while since I even looked at the ability, maybe I'll play around with it next time I ascend Ele.
Edit: Nevermind, it's 1600, I just misread, thought you meant it was 200% damage, not +200%.

It also works on winters grasp.
